You are misconstruing my argument. I don’t think companies should turn a blind eye to domestic abuse. I don’t think women should just take getting beaten up and it have no repercussions on their husbands. I do think it’s more complicated than just some of the “no tolerance” policies that are being advocated today, and a company shouldn’t just fire a man or woman charged with domestic violence without considering a) the circumstances b) whether the person is a repeat offender and c) the impact this is going to have on his/her family.

It’s often a complicated situation that should never be condoned, but should be examined carefully in terms of the solve and the consequences. And lastly, jail time and termination of employment are often the right thing. I’m just saying it’s not always the case.

Since everybody is in one of those moods it seems like the appropriate time to drop this - the Catholic Church in France says 200K kids were molested over the last 70 years by members of the clergy. That’s about 8 per day.

Got anything else you want to bash Baptist’s about Chad?

Back to lurking.

I would argue that the child molestation in the Catholic Church is a systemic issue related to the fact that the Priests are required to remain celibate. Baptists don't have that issue, and therefore their leaders are less likely to molest kids. So it doesn't make the Baptists right, but it puts them in a better moral position relative to the Catholic Church.

Is there such a thing as Too White? I know that’s not the best descriptor of Wayne’s density level, but man he goes out of his way to often trying to hold on to the 1890’s.

Baptists do have that issue, they are just decentralized unlike the Catholic church so the statistics aren't aggregated the same.

If you know anything about the Baptist Church you’d now right now isn’t the best time, as a Baptist, to be throwing stones over sexual abuse.

The executive committee finally got it right today but it’s been a rough few weeks.

In the spirit of previous discussion.....

A Methodist preacher, a Baptist preacher and a Catholic priest are on a plane full of boys, coming back from an excursion, when the plane experiences difficulties and is going down.

The Methodist preacher says “what are we going to do? There are only 3 parachutes and a plane full of young boys.”

The Baptist preacher said, “Eh, **** those boys”

To which the Catholic priest replied, “Do you think we have time?”

I’ll show myself out....

* B Rax get a cease and desist letter or nah?

* We are favored against the LSU Tigers in football. This is amazing. We have the better head coach and probably have equivalent talent, at least among the starters. I haven't studied the Tigers' roster but we are really thin at our skill positions but our depth on our lines and at LB is insane.

Before Stoops, no one ever thought there would be defensive line depth at Kentucky. Now we've got a former 5 star sophomore who is being allowed to earn his spot rather than starting from day one.

* Also amazing --> the attorney general has directed the FBI to "address" parents getting pissed off at local school board meetings. Maybe COVID really was a CCCP bioweapon to turn the USA into a pinko dictatorship.

The mafia has nothing on teachers unions. They are a cartel.

So Strokin doesn't get defensive -- I love teachers and can't stand the unions when they act politically. Perfectly fine with the unions trying to get their members paid and whatnot.

* Lexington is above 75% in adults vaccinated. Commonwealth is filled to the brim with maskless drunks screaming their heads off.

Why exactly are we still requiring kids to mask in schools? Why is COVID still a news topic at this point? Why is our nation's top toadie and doctor claiming it is "too soon to tell" if families can congregate for Christmas? Why is King Andy still giving hour long COVID briefings as recently as October 4?

This **** ever going to stop being a thing?

* As much as I can't stand him, if King Andy can land another deal like the new Ford battery plant, I might actually consider voting for him over Pol Pot's ghost.

Toyota has changed Central Kentucky for the better in so many ways. With our centralized location and I-75 and I-64, Kentucky could become the Detroit of the future if we play our cards right.

I don’t think our goal is to be Detroit, hopefully not anyway.

I for one don’t want Lexington to turn a city like Detroit or Cincinnati.
Yeah. I said that wrong. I meant that the Central Kentucky area could become an automotive manufacturing hub. We've already got the Ford plant in Louisville.

I think the infrastructure and relatively cheap industrial real estate in this area could work very well. We've got a lot of that already with Toyota in Georgetown, Hitachi in Harrodsburg and Berea, etc.

Andy didn’t have Jack **** with Ford coming to Hardin County. Don’t let him getting out in front of the press briefing fool you. The land was bought years ago when Kentucky was trying to get Hyundai.

I’ve seen Andy work first hand with auto makers and suppliers. He was quick to damn some for trying to work during the start of Covid but would rush to get a press release out when the same company announced investment and jobs.

His pops was asleep at the wheel when Toyota moved out of Erlanger several years ago.

so don’t go sucking him off just yet.

Nope...calling a spade a spade bother you or is it simply a head in the sand moment?

And if you want to get personal, you have my number.

Not surprising but I think you missed the point. Can't say more or you'll cry to no end about how it was different when you were being the sleazebag.

Read the room, UKO. You're a fool and you stand for nothing but hypocrisy.
