Surprising to me honestly. They will be good again but it’s also entirely possible they look nothing like that tourney team and they just caught lightning in a bottle. Let’s remember Cronin also had all of those players during the regular season and it didn’t look like that.

Yeah, they had a very strong tournament but everyone seems to forget they were mediocre during the rest of the season.

I told a few people here I thought Juzang would ultimately return to UCLA. I was about ridiculed off the board for it. Shrug
Seems strange, you have quotes? I would think most of our fans would know a player ranked in the early part of the second round had a chance to come back.

I could look but would take time I don’t want to take. Mainly “he’d be an idiot to return, his stock will never be higher!!!!” type stuff

Those things are likely true though.

But it's up to him. he was homesick and sad here, the life of a second round pick may be something he's not ready for.

If the family doesn't need money, he can pretty much always be where his stock currently is.

Good for him! He did exactly what he should have done and went through the process, and now he needs to come back and be even better than he was in the tourney. Do that and he would almost guarantee a first round slot, or a guaranteed two year contract at the very least

UCLA will be loaded. They were probably a 5 seed before losing their best player and they hit this odd 4 game losing streak. This is big for them. They will be deep and talented and experienced. They may not be a one seed but they are a definite top 10 team. They also got a center transfer from Rutgers who is good and a top 10 high school wing. Their big man Reily announced this week he's returning.

UCLA should be the favorites going into this season.

They are in a different role this season, last year they were a bit of an underdog, this season they definitely won’t be.

They go from hunter to hunted. Sometimes that hurts a team.

We will see what it means for the Bruins.

There were several on here that thought he was a lottery pick.
He's slow and not very athletic. If he can't get drafted now he won't ever

Just looked it up. Took about 10 seconds.

Will be preseason top 5

Dook at 6th with 6 good players and then a drop off a cliff for the other 3. It has already begun. The media will do everything they can to sell coach rat's last year as amazing even though he really doesn't have the horses. I hope we add Kofi or Duren and run them by 20. Roach is their only PG and he just doesn't scare me. The better prayer Williams doesn't have a Soph slump or they are dead. They are going to have everything riding on 3 Freshmen and zero bench. 6th my ***. They are around top 15th, noway that are top 10, let alone top 6 in the country with these other stacked teams including ourselves.

If we’re anything like what our roster, staff and the current momentum suggest, we should welcome all comers.

I still think they just got hot at the right time and will not be nearly as good this year.

I may be wrong, but we shall see.

We had a crappy 2014 regular season and made it to the title game. The next year with mostly that same team we went 38-1 so I wouldn't count them out so easily.
I considered this, but I feel like comparing last year’s UCLA team to those UK teams on a talent and potential level there is a big difference. Not saying UCLA won’t be a very good team, but anointing them a top 3 team and potential favorite is premature. The jury is certainly still out for what we could be this year too…I wouldn’t put them in the top 10 right now, but they have the potential to be.

They 100% belong in the preseason top 10 as much or more than anyone else.
Not that it matters. <shrug>
