Hearing from inner-circles he will be the next coach at Dook!

lol which inner circles? Duke or stevens? I could see this being the last year for ratface. Stevens is kinda logical choice here but there will be many candidates mark few for example

How good a coach is he really? I would think he has some input who the Celtics have drafted since he has been there and they have had more 1st round picks than anyone by far and almost all of them have turned out to be not very good- I know Ainge is the GM but certainly they work together

I'm sure the guy coaching the Boston Celtics to six straight playoff appearances who has absolutely no connection to Duke basketball is jumping at the chance.

I mean if it's just a matter of money then I'm not terribly worried about future UK coaches. Let's just poach whoever the best NBA coach is when the time comes. Apparently Cal is currently making almost twice as much as Stevens.

Celtics really just need to go rebuild. The Brown/Tatum experiment should end IMO and they should cash in on Brown. Get an actual Center. Get like a Myles Turner and Brogdon or something and go from there. Idk the financials behind a move but the team just isnt fit to win big how its built. Stevens should stay NBA

So Stevens is committing to a job a year away? Because I assume rat boy is coaching this season so in a year Stevens is coming aboard. SO he will start another season with the Celtics and then just bounce on them next season?

I just don't see it. If the rat was retiring now then maybe, but knowing what could be going on a year from now seems odd and I can't see Stevens committing a year out. Has he signed or is it just a verbal?

I’m sure you’ll be at his introductory press conference. With your signed coach K ball in hand and signed duke t-shirt on. front row seats ba-by!

Hey I hate K. Like I hate all the other all time 5 top coaches unless people count Rupp. I love Rupp. But K was the greatest ever, over Wooden and Dean Smith, Bob Knight, RUPP.

K will demand it be one of his minions. He has employed former players for years in hopes of grooming one of them to take over when he retires.

He's an NBA coach.

Even if the Celtics fire him (they wont), the timeline doesn't match up. Is he going to be unemployed for a year and take over at Duke next April?

Besides, if the Celtics fire him, he'll be getting calls from about 20 NBA teams.

Y'all have been scared he'd take every open college job in the last five years. Relax.

For good measure: he's an NBA coach.
