So, how would the season have looked if UK pursued McClung? He has 30 points right now for TTU
His family is just fine financially. His dad is a judge and mother is a teacher. Will have to check on his family's financial history first to see if Cal would have been able to end their generational poverty.
Careful. You’ll get called racist and told you only like him cause he’s white and is not athletic enough to play here.
Path forward for Kentucky is to at least have 3 true PGs on the roster imoYeah when he was in high school and somewhere here posted about him they got bombarded with idiots saying he couldn’t play here. He might have been the best player on our team this year.

Sounds like Boston.Watched mcclung for a couple years at Georgetown and now 5-6 games at TTU. He’s a solid player but way too much of an inconsistent shooter and plays too aggressive on offense at times. I don’t particularly like his game because he shoots a lot and if he’s not making shots, his team is in trouble.

Worth repeating

I’m not advocating for Boston necessarily. But I think when Boston figures it out he is light years better than McClung. Of course, we will probably never see that at UK. If we had McClung and he shot 20-25 times a game as a 6’2” PG who can’t pass, we would crucify him if we weren’t winning.Sounds like Boston.
You’re right about his athleticism, though you don’t see it on display that much because most of his game is with the ball in his hands and shooting jumpers. Perhaps with the right coaching (definitely not Ewing) he would’ve built his game differently. I agree he would have been a very solid 4 year player at UK, but probably not a superstar. He is arguably a star right now as the featured player on Texas Tech because he is allowed to control the basketball.Kid is an amazing athlete but sort of raw and with poor decision making. Exactly the type of player UK needed to hang around an extra year or two. Iirc played at gate city va or somewhere very close to ky.
Get his head right, and he will be a superstar.
Not the type of player will ever recruit here.

We’re playing a 6-2 PG now that can’t pass or shoot or play defense.I’m not advocating for Boston necessarily. But I think when Boston figures it out he is light years better than McClung. Amazing how some will downplay this kid but still justify the minutes Cal gives Boston. You’re right about his athleticism, though you don’t see it on display that much because most of his game is with the ball in his hands and shooting jumpers. Not advocating for Boston and then proceeds to do so. I don't cae what Boston does when he leaves UK. My goodness, some of you have been completely hyponotized by Cal.I’m not advocating for Boston necessarily. But I think when Boston figures it out he is light years better than McClung. I don’t see myself justifying Boston’s minutes. He is obviously a much higher ceiling player. I’ve watched McClung a lot. I doubt you have. He isn’t special. In fact, I’ve covered my last 2 bets betting against TTU primarily because I think they are flawed with him at the point.Amazing how some will downplay this kid but still justify the minutes Cal gives Boston.
True. And if you changed the word “white” to “black” in your statement, Cal or any other coach would be called a racist and fired.Cal doesn't recruit 6"1" 3 star white kids from southwestern VA and never will.
Case closed.
I'm not TTech fan. You have my blessing. Now do the game winner he hit against Texas.

Lmao, this thread is the only time in history I’ve ever even commented on Boston. You’re ridiculous. He’s played 14 games as a freshman. This thread is about McClung, not Boston. You doomsday, haters of everything Cal, are the ones bringing up Boston. Obsessed much? Grow up.Boston “figuring it out” while not at UK is meaningless. Who cares? Who is playing better now?
Your weird need to intimately defend Boston at all costs is pretty apparent.
So it sounds like he’d be a better fit right now. You agree.
And you are not the type fans Kentucky needs. Your hate for Cal is more obvious every post. You would prefer UK fail so Cal would get fired. I mean obsessed. Then he is not Cal's type of player. He would probably want to stay in school and graduate.
OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
