Allen could even be a decoy to open things up for others. But nope, Cal just puts him opposite of any action. Just has him stand there.

I think Cal doesn't believe three point shooting is a skill. Notice that when he talks about shooting the emphasis is on good shots and bad shots, but he doesn't care if it's Sarr, Jackson, or Boston taking the three or if it's Allen or Mintz. If it's open, in the flow of trying to drive or work the ball into the post, it's a good shot. If it's Allen with a hand in his face, that shot probably has a 35% chance even closely guarded. But Cal doesn't care. It's a bad shot.
He sees good shots and bad shots. He doesn't see good shooters and bad shooters.

You’re forgetting that Cal constantly and loudly INSISTS that anyone who passes up an open 3 is getting yanked out of the game immediately.
He does so with all the same certainty and credibility of anth and his moderate voter lectures, but it is what it is.

Hope you guys are ready because this is about to get ugly. We're gonna lose this by 20+. I know because nothing is gonna be adjusted.
Double teamed Hail Mary 2 is an better/easier shot than a wide open 3 to Cal. GFY.
Giving them easy layups so they won’t shoot as many threes. Good adjustment.
Man, I thought all the players voting for Joe Biden and kneeling on an opponents court would have fixed any teamwork issues. But hey, they got those social media likes!
Only Cal would take a stretch 5 and stick his *** on the post with his back ot the basket, instead of using him for pick and pop sets.
Starting to see why Matt Haarms said "f*ck no."

We've been through too much in the last year for this to be the dog **** basketball team fat John puts out there. We don't f*cking deserve this.
Seriously, how can Cal go up against an offense this modern and effective and think it's not the way to play in the year 2021? Malpractice.
“this might be the best matchup of the calipari era.”

Man, was Saturday a fluke or what? Really didn’t think they’d play to that level tonight, but also didn’t think they’d revert back to December form. Cal is playing too many guys and has them mind-f-ed.
Cal’s sideline antics remind me of when the dad from A Christmas Story goes down to the basement to fight the furnace.
Posting up and driving into 3 players is going to get us back in this game.
Sliding under a guy in the air is a f*cking dangerous play, but it's in CBB because refs go full wood to call charges.
Just about time for Cal to start the Facebook Watch miniseries on these guys like he did on the Hami-Shai-Quade year?
I’m so sick and tired of watching us have 3 dudes so close together that 1 man can guard them while Dontaie is shoved in a corner to stick his finger up his ***. Infuriating.
These jack legs can’t play a zone either, you have to be somewhat disciplined and not leave your area or bite on every ball fake
-down 17. Run clock. Drive into a contested 2. Rinse repeat. Florida was a fluke.
That was a standing five-foot jump finger roll attempt for Brooks. Not a high percentage shot.
We are down 15, with 13:30 to go.....and have yet to shoot a 3 this half
