Yeah, I read it and its well written and has plenty of valid perspective.

But yet again, like the pumpers on here, it does not acknowledge the reality that the vitriol and ire being expressed by BBN is a culmination of many things over many seasons. This horrendous start has only served to be gasoline on a fire that was already burning.

Until yall grasp and acknowledge that, these back and forths aren't going anywhere.

Stopped reading when he said what kind of offense can you run for players that can’t shoot, pass, or dribble. Why in the hell are they even on the team if they can’t do the 3 basic things that the sport is about? No excuses for cal at all, this is his damn mess, he needs to own it.

He seems to be putting all the blame on the players by saying every one of them are bad and it's not Cal's fault.Cal recruited these guys and isn't it his job to work with them and make them better?I'm having a hard time believing every guy on the team sucks and the coach has no fault. The guy says he's a former coach so maybe that's why he doesn't want to say anything negative about another coach.

Thanks for posting. I was getting ready to post it myself. Mr. Ramsey shares important insight into the current Kentucky basketball situation. He also does an excellent job via his Twitter account of showing video clips of where UK players are not following basic coaching instruction. I recommend you follow him on Twitter, @BRamseyKSR He makes an important contribution to our discussion of Kentucky basketball. https://kentuckysportsradio.com/bas...-basketball-fans-a-former-coachs-perspective/

Anyone that has Coached at ANY level (which a lot of us have), know that your purpose is to teach skills and identify what your kids do well and utilize those skills. If you have kids that can shoot you don’t leave them on the bench when you need shots.

But according to this guy Brandon, UK’s players this year have no developed skills! Which leaves a HUGE question about why did you offer any of them a scholarship? 🙄

Our fans can't see the forest for the trees. You my friend are a bird in the forest. Cal is coaching them and we would be farther along if things had been different. They weren't and we aren't.

The only thing that needs to be said is this. If you have an agenda the truth can be smacking you and you won't acknowledge it.

Someone has an agenda without doubt but it's not me.

It's time to part ways
With all the bickering and split of the fans there's only one thing to do before it's too late.
I'm sure UT or U of L will take u. So long

I love the way it's okay for some to dump on our players but heaven forbid we put any blame on the the head coach who put the team together.

You mean the vitriol and ire expressed by a group of unreasonable and unrealistic zealots on this board. That group of quitters is NOT the BBN. They are merely a small set of malcontents and fair weather fans.

In addition to the nonsense that it's not Cal's fault that the team can't dribble, pass or shoot and ignoring the fact that Cal recruited them, where does the blame fall for not developing an offense that DOES give the players some expectation of success? Eddie Gran redesigned UKFB offense on the fly last year, very successfully I might add. Why can't Cal and his army of assistants do the same? Or should they just throw up their hands and quit because Anthony Davis and John Wall aren't on this year's team?

And you cannot build a culture of OAD and starting a whole new 5 every year, and then use the 'we're young' excuse. That doesn't fly. Boo hoo, the players didn't get a cookout. What a bunch of malarkey.

The author never addresses the elephant in the room - developing players for the long run ended with Cal's love of sending kids to the pros. Letting Boston and Clark develop is probably the best way for the long run. Only problem is that neither player will stay past this year so what exactly is the long run with Calipari's system?

Thats the point. He did have Lynn Bowden and he redesigned the entire offense around his skillset. Isn't that what good coaches are supposed to do? If Bill Walton was on the team, wouldn't it make sense to run the offense through him and use his skills to the maximum? Would we have LeBron playing catch 30 feet out from the basket while the shot clock runs down or would you use his skills? Your comment is nonsensical. Gran redesigned an entire offense mid-season to fit the skills of his best player(s). Why doesn't Cal ever do that?

I'm sorry if you can't keep up.
In the article he said you would have to be insane to think cal had it out for allen and not playing him for any reason other than he isn't ready. That is talking to you and all the other allen lovers on here
