We’ve been so bad, you can’t put this on the players. There’s TONS of talent on this team. It’s not they’re fault none of them have ever played with each other before.

I know Boston and Clarke have been scapegoated. And askew early on. But that’s because those guys were given bigger roles. So they had more chances to make more visible mistakes. More on their shoulders.

I bet if you put just about any player on this team, on another team that actually had some guys back they’d all look a lot better. Guys that had played together for a few years. Had played in the same system for a few years and had some modicum of an idea do what their coach wants from them on either end. None of our guys have that.

I bet if you swap askew for Jalen Suggs(and I’m not saying askew would look just as good) askew would look a hell of a lot better and Suggs a lot worse.

Yes covid had a larger affect on uk than most teams. Because they are all new to each other. We would be alot farther along Jan 2nd if we had 8 weeks prior to season of being together.

I didn’t make anything up. Tell me the ratio between One and dones and guys who have played 2 years, 3 years, or even graduated under Cal. I’ll wait while you show me statistics where Cal isn’t a one and done machine, and while your at it can you disprove where he said multiple times doing right by them (getting them to the NBA) will get us what the fans want. I’ll wait while you try to redirect this conversation since you can’t defend your position.

Case in point, I personally don’t mind Cal doing One and Done and have been supportive until this year. If he is gonna sell OAD then he better ensure it works. Yet you think I’m making things up to fit my agenda.

Yes some players leave after one season
That doesn't mean cal is all about one and done. He won't hold players back if they want to leave. How hard is that to understand. It's your mistake if you associate this as cals philosophy.
I made posters mad because I tell it like it is? Our fans( including you it looks like) are generally whiny and entitled. Most on here believe they are smarter than a hall of fame coach and know the answer to everything. Clueless is someone that picks and chooses when something fits. Which is what you are doing . There's been very few seasons in which we didn't have players return. Yet your agenda won't let you see this. Most fans are just mad at players leaving in general and it sounds better to call it a one and done issue. As far as you or anyone else's opinion of me , Thank you

There's been 26 players enter the draft after their first season in 11 years.
24 have returned with a couple leave

About half have been one and done

Ok, avoid using stats for outrageous claims. Some players leave early???? Never mind you better off on ignore, can’t fix stupid.

Wait a sec, he said he coached in Division 3 (which means he didn't really play in the NCAA Tournament, just a NCAA Tournament)...but at that level you can't even get athletic scholarships :( So does anyone at that level even bother playing sports or run anymore? :(



As for "I've coached guys that play professional basketball" that could very well mean in the low level minor leagues...whatever they're called; in pro baseball they'd be called "Rookie", then Low-A, High-A, AA, AAA.

Definitely wasn't all that critical of Cal and, to be honest, I've watched the games and the players have not performed. I think the article nailed that. Yeah, he could have been more critical of Cal for not making better moves/decisions, etc.
