Yes I think this group is good, and will show it. Askew can shoot and if Cal lets Mintz run point allowing Askew to get some confidence as the season goes as he hits open shots etc while an upperclassmen leads the team that fixes a lot of what is wrong and takes pressure off the should be high school senior.
Clark is legit as is Jackson. Both will be inconsistent but they are good.
That leaves the 5 spot. Sarr is good on offense, but a complete pushover on defense. In time I’d hope Cal lets Brooks/Jackson run together at the 4/5 and that’s a starting lineup that should by all means do well.
Leaving a bench of Boston, Sarr, Allen, Ware, Fletcher, and Toppin.
We just need Cal to get over his ego and coach to win the game instead of teaching these kids it’s his way or they lose.
We absolutely should have beat GaTech, but Cal was the only person that couldn’t see Wright taking Sarr to school.
We went small and closed an 11 point gap within minutes while Jackson shut Wright down, and within seconds of Sarr checking back in Wright had a layup, dunk and swiped Sarr clean for a steal, and we never came back from that and Sarr continued to get destroyed and their guards began knocking a lot of junk down.
