How big will Brooks return be? My guess huge

On offense PF is a dead spot that position hurts us lack of shooting, passing and can’t take guys off the dribble. On defense other teams can drive on our current PF options.

Brooks may not be one of the top pf options but he’s what we need. We were at our best with 4 guards/wings last night. We need a pf who can pass and play outside so Sarr can post up and our wings can drive. It’s also going to be a huge boost getting 30 minutes from Brooks vs Ware, Fletcher and Toppin.

I don't know, maybe he won't have that big an impact, maybe he will, but until he returns UK will not be at full strength.

I believe Brooks would play more physical than Sarr. He hasn't shown me anything by way of physicality. Brooks and Jackson would be better from a physical standpoint.

People act like Brooks is gonna be a better PJ. I don’t see him being much better than sophomore Nick Richards.

He was better than that last year. I think he will comparable to Darius Miller without the offense skill. If he can just pass, defend, not turn it over that’s a big improvement.

He'll probably give us 6-8 pts 4 rbs a game, and I think he'll develop into a decent 3 point shooter. So, yeah, he will help quite a bit. Cal said he was counting on him to be one of the leaders. He won the Florida game last season with his play in the 2nd half. Finished with 10 pts, and went 2-2 from three. He was really starting to come on late in the season. We probably beat KU if he played, and maybe Richmond.

These comparisons to PJ are way off base. I have seen both players up close and he is in no way built like PJ. All 6' 7" players are not created equally. PJ has a huge frame, broad sholders and a much more powerful build. Brooks has fairly narrow shoulders and a slim build.

I like Brooks but he's built like a 3 without elite 3 skills. He will have a positive impact but an inside force he is not.

Question is...is he returning? What’s the newest update? Is he really hurt? Seems like we should have a better idea on his return but Cal always leaves us in the dark on injury updates.

I am beginning to think it is more than an injury. Could it be grades ?

It's not so much that Keion will be a 20/10/5 guy or anything. But he's experienced (somewhat) and can help keep the team composed. He could never score a point and I'd still want him in there with this young team.

I just don't remember Brooks being an impact player like AD. Maybe I am wrong, 2020 has been hell on my memory.

No, your memory is just fine. Keon averaged 4.5ppg, 3.2 rpg, and shot 47% from the field, 26% from 3, and 63% from the FT line.

No one on the team can pass or take care of the ball.
I’m guessing it’s grades and not an injury. He will probably be back at the new semester

Man, if it is grades...

I hate how Cal drags these things out tries to hide what's really going on.

Who’s spot is he going to take? Jackson is a rebounding machine right now. Sarr had a nice shot when he isn’t playing soft.

Truthfully it’s nobody’s business. If I was a player or in his family would appreciate the discretion
