Posted this in the big sexy cat thread, but check out the last entry in the executive order. Pretty damned broad. This would seem to apply to many of us, and it doesn’t seem to be subject to the myriad prior exceptions for “essential” businesses:

8. Professional Services. All professional services and other office-based businesses must mandate that all employees who are able to work from home do so, and close their businesses to the public when possible. Any office that remains open must ensure that no more than 33% of employees are physically present in the office any given day.

- Well my cousin was supposed to host this year, but he is a commonwealth attorney and has cancelled because of the possible implications if he was caught having “too much” family over.

What a crock of ****.

- Finally got to the damn distillery today. Long overdue, but I got to improperly add some honey to a toasted finish product I had left over, and once it’s done correctly I think that thing could work for that segment of bourbon lovers.

- We are not going to get a basketball season.

- We stocked up on TP and wet wipes yesterday. Then today as I am leaving Amazon drops off a tushy(portable bidet), and, well................I haven’t had it in me to bring it up yet and my wife hasn’t mentioned it.

- Really hope the Knicks take Maxey and are just not putting the info out there. That’s where he was rumored to go months ago.

- I love the idea that Nov 4 was the turning point, like everyone forgot Jan 20 is day 1. Along way to go before we get right, lol.(sorry wcc)

No ****.... Love Gov is keeping us away from our frail MIL.

My useless brother in law is so fear-stricken, by the daily briefings that he’s not allowing us to visit.

Dude is a giant *****. My kids aren’t allowed to see their only surviving grandparent.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

If your MIL is frail, then it sounds like he’s acting responsibly.

All this “the individual should be able to decide!” stuff is muddied a bit in a viral pandemic. Your personal freedom can compromise others.

I mean I know the lean of this thread on everything and you all have a raging mutual hard-on right now but it’s not that simple.

Indoor dining- there’s an argument for that.

No, there isn't. It is 50% capacity in Lex....you have to wear a mask to your table, and when you leave. You are spaced properly, and most places do a temp check (fwiw) Any cases that are traced to restaurants, those positives were not "caught" in restaurants. There are more people closely congregating in Target and Wally World than any restaurant. This is another arbitrary move with zero basis to support it.

-i see where you are coming from, chad...but you misinterpret my meaning. Those that are *at risk* can decide what they are comfortable doing...if they are worried about covid exposure *they* can choose to isolate.

-it's cliche but the cure is *much* worse than the disease.

Would it be crazy to suggest you still spend time with your loved ones, but also take extra special precaution around the oldest and most vulnerable?

I would hope y’all aren’t hanging out with granny at Thanksgiving and hacking and coughing and spitting and sneezing all over her the whole time.

Common sense. You’re welcome!!!!

Schedule a rapid test for days you want to go visit her. That's what these tests should be used for. Don't take stupid chances in your daily life to avoid contacting as much as possible. But do not leave her alone, that's cruel.

The only thing I'll add to "personal choice" is the recommended mitigation orders have shown very little success in stopping the virus. Also, stopping the virus can't be the only focus when there are really long lasting ugly effects that can be mitigated successfully unlike the virus.

The ***** of this thing is being most contagious before symptoms.

Saer Sene went #10 overall. Priest Lauderdale was a 1st rounder. Rick Pitino took Jerome Moiso at 11.

The NBA absolutely makes no sense. If EJ was the next pick, I’m not sure I’d be completely shocked.

There was another Williams from the ACC who was a one and done that came off the bench in college. I bet Patrick's career is similar to Marvin's.
