-Spatchcock it is.

-I'll be handling the Keeneland Bread Pudding. Sister Shurbert only.

-Maine with "side salad." F*ck you, Maine. Dirty piece of f*cking trash.

-Deviled eggs are f*cking amazing. I could eat 20+ without blinking. Especially with a little candied bacon on top. Shew boy.

-Chipotle is really handling this the worst, aren't they? You just never know what the requirements are going to be when showing up. Digital orders only while waiting in the parking lot for an employee to carry it out? Open to 5 people at a time? Completely closed? Mostly open to 50% capacity in and out? 15 people and Door Dashers waiting for online orders and no one in the standard line?

Today, digital only while 5 people can walk in, door opened by an employee, but must exit opposite side of the building. 😂Monday I just gave up and walked to the standard experience at Jersey Mike's.

-I blame sales and business books on missing about of 10 years worth of reading. Started trying to read all the horseshit out of college and never made it to the 3rd chapter. It's awful. Then I found some genres I like and now I read everyday and have for 12-13 years. Stick with what I like and recommendations from similar tastes.

Oyster crackers are the GOAT cracker for chili. I will cop to eating an entire box of them this past weekend when I felt awful and real food didn't sound appetizing. Hexagonal oyster crackers > circle oyster crackers, too.

Sloot: haricot vert are clearly superior but depending on who you're feeding, thanksgiving dinner might be allen's + ham time. (My mom makes haricot vert with garlic, onions and slivered almonds for occasion dinners and I'd vote those.)

SAE, puppies scent to your dad.

of course Maine said side salad. Have you ever met a Mainer who didn't act like an alien just arriving on earth and trying to pass for a Standard Issue Human Type?

Oyster crackers are the top tier soup cracker but only if youre getting the Nabisco Premiums. Anything else is a waste of time and doesnt offer the right amount of crunch texture.

(In no small part because you can get them to throw in extry bags for free when you pick up your comfort chillitos at the end of a long day at work)

- Grabbing Thanksgiving dinner from Salazar. Pretty good menu and doesn’t make sense for us to cook a turkey when wife doesn’t eat meat.

- Going to give Wayne Turner’s new podcast a chance- I owe him that much.

- The only people who ever actually call me on the phone are spam and my dad.

- I’d rank them:

1. Banana Bread
2. Mango Bread
3. Lemon Blueberry Bread
4. Zucchini Bread
5. Pumpkin Bread

- My wife has taken approximately 3,558 pictures of my daughter thus far.

- Listened to Dakich and Greenburg preview the SEC at lunch and Seth says Cal thinks Jackson can be Camby. tifwiw

- Jaimanthony- if you’re down with an arranged marriage between Luke and Noelle, I’m down. If she’s like her mom, she’s going to make a ****** choice anyway, and I’d rather avoid it.

- People will try to convince you otherwise, but Thanksgiving candles are actually better than both Fall and Christmas candles.

- Third Eye Blind’s “Losing a Whole Year” anchors my 2020 playlist. Too on the nose?

- Nostalgia Alert: It never seemed to rank all that highly on quality of fun (the day after Thanksgiving was always a better time), but the night before Thanksgiving was always a consistently a strong night for getting ornery-schnockered, blacking out, taking shots at 1:30 am for no damn reason, getting into drunken quarrels with friends, spending way too much money, making an *** of yourself, ingesting four packs of secondhand smoke, somehow ruining a budding relationship, and leading into a deserved hangover from hell on a day when you see all your relatives. I miss it.

- Sportswriter Annoyance #254: How they all use the same exact cliches all the time- “back of the napkin math,” “inside baseball,” “unicorn,” etc. It’s like they have a monthly meeting- “Attention- this month we need all of you to work ‘inside baseball’ into every conversation you have. Bonus points for being as pretentious as possible when saying it.”

- I don’t get what Mina Kimes brings to anything.

- St. Nick’s Day was always a nice little Catholic bonus.

- I am amending my Sturgill Top 5 to put “Hero” #1. It’s a tearjerker.

- Doesn’t get much better than a perfectly prepared order of buffalo wings. Unfortunately, that’s rarely the case.

Luke has a few offers on the table, but she's getting a rose. (is that how bachelor works?) Also, I believe traditional arranged marriages require me to gift you (x) amount of cattle/goats/horse, that deal is off. I'll include 5 bottles of premium bourbon.

Actually, having my son transform your daughter into a true red blooded Conservative American is worth whatever you ask. Sold.

So Anthony Edwards is actually on record saying that he can't watch basketball and wishes he was in the NFL. This draft is garbage. I'd take Wiseman, but he doesn't really excite me at the number one slot. LaMelo is a great passer that shoots a low percentage from outside. We saw how that worked out with big bro. I would not want to be a GM with a top 3 pick. Lose lose, imo.

I have nothing for Edwards. His head doesn't seem to be anywhere near ready for this. If I had top 5 I'd be taking the best deal I could to trade down.

Edwards is basically Lance Stephenson, and I'm not sure he's nearly as good. The fact that he may go 1 is mind bottling.

Mina Kimes is on ESPN Chad! She's important because they, an say so...Not enough love for NY Giants coach getting beat up by his OLine coach who he then fired. Is that wrong?

- The Celtics are apparently trying hard to get into the Top 3 tonight and I just don't get it at all. There's plenty of value to be had tonight, but it's not at the top.

- Buffalo Wing Cheez-Its>>>>Spicy Cheez-Its

- Anth, yesterday Chipotle had us all stand outside while one person poked her head out the door and asked for names. Probably all just depends on whichever manager is working at the time.

- BnT shut down for COVID....really hope they open back up by next week, because that Turkey Etouffe is a revelation.

- Which are you more likely to watch....the NFL games on Thanksgiving? Or the NBA games on Christmas?

Speaking of broccoli casserole, I’ve probably shared this before but back in my Lexington days I had a pretty healthy broccoli casserole habit. It got so crazy that I was having my dealer drop off an casserole dish at my work, which I would promptly head to the bathroom to eat half of it. But that wasn’t the worst part. I actually started picking my nose and kept my broccoli boogers in the freezer. I’d get a big ole collection of them and when I was out, or running low, I’d warm them up and chop them up into lines. Haven’t touched the stuff since 2002.

I quit ordering online because the online line was 2x long and the standard line was empty. Workers in the standard line just playing on their phones while the poor sap at the online station was pushing out 1 order every 5 minutes. So I show up Monday to that same experience you had. JFC, it's a Mexican restaurant. F- that noise, I'm grabbing a #9 Mike's Way.

- Books on selling are created by sales people that are good at selling books. Also, lots of suckers are sales people. More of a fan of strategy than hearing another buzzword to throw out in a meeting to sound like the smartest person. Be genuine, know your ****, follow-up, run towards the fire and profit.

- Mrs. Dorn was one of my first MILF crushes - red dress at the bar not the horrible home maker version. But even a 10 yr old me realized the b-word move of not telling Vaughn who she was.

- 1st tee Sun morning, my buddy instantly regrets inviting two of his friends. Apparently he shaves his balls outside in the woods because he lives with his parents and is afraid of them HEARING what he's doing. Amazingly he grows some potent *** buds.

- Got a pretty substantial promotion to roll in the new year with. Fruits of labor and such.

- Incognito mode but semi-documented. As much as I've been wrong on covid, I'd like to end any question of my demise with 'oh he was smoking weed with 15 people at a party because he's all middle-aged but thought it was HS again' in the form of a pic found on my phone.

- Jealousy is an ugly thing. Worked many years towards intra-personal skills. But if Krazy gets on AN before I do then I'm out. Not because I don't think he can but f man, he sells lumber and I sell door knobs - know who can I chide for selling a more boring commodity?

- Because of one of the previous comments, our Thanksgiving plans will be reveled to the public 2-3 weeks after Thanksgiving.

- Refuse to get too into CBB. Like with many things lately, I'll believe it when I see it. All about setting low expectation with anything involving covid decisions and hoping for pleasant surprises.

- Bryson doing the "we" dragging his caddy in for his performance at the Masters. I was starting to come around to the guy but I can tell he's just always going to be a weirdo. Won't completely turn on him because it has been fun seeing him give golf a different look.

Sloot,
I asked my mom for her recipe and here is her reply:

-large bag of frozen broccoli thawed
-cup of sour cream
-cup of mayo
-half cup of parmesan cheese
-package of shredded cheddar cheese
-salt and pepper
-mix all together
-bake at 350 for an hour or so
I guess you can add a crunchy element for texture as previously mentioned.

I appreciate the occasional sales coach, but then some meathead fake *** knuckle dragging con artist fool like Grant Cardone comes along and just blows it for me.

Honestly, the people I admire most in business are quite boring.

I’ll tell you some sketchy marketing- these schools offering online “Masters in Law” degrees (no JD required!!!)

I think I’ve dealt with ONE attorney who had one of those (per the initials they put on their card) and they were less than quality.

I think they're overthinking this. Avoid Edwards who is a less skilled Tyreke Evans. Wiseman and Hayes are worth the pick for teams that actually need a big, other than that, trade down and get shooters.

Funny you mention him...reached out to a friend about an hour ago to check in on her and she was in the middle of producing (taping) something with Grant Cardone...needed to look up who he was.

LOL

-a portion of my job is sales...a little different as I have to be involved til the completion of a project. I have to deal with my fair share traditional salesfolk.

Wanna succeed?

-sell something i need.
-lose the attitude...you are involved at my discretion.
-tell the truth.
-dont up-sell.
-offer *legitimate* knowledge/expertise ...if you dont have it be honest, then facilitate introduction to someone in your org that can help.
-price rules the day (in my industry)...good service is a given...but immaterial if you dont get in the door.
-cover my *** and I'll cover yours.
-perform as committed.

PROFIT.

...something about a ted talk or whatever.
