I deal with a lot of medical science stuff for my job so I’m a medical science ball.

If you can sit there with a straight face and say “the right” hasn’t done anything but engage in anti-intellectualism, denialism and helped spread legitimate dangerous disinformation, especially these last four years, I can’t take anything you say seriously.

These last few days have been a gut punch for heroes from my childhood. Eddie Van Halen and Joe Morgan were front and center of two things I absolutely love, music and baseball. I played second base for most of my youth, and there was no better role model than No. 8. Had this batting stance down to a science... #RIPLittleJoe

- I believe the Canadian numbers. As a Lib controlled country there is no reason for them to fudge the numbers. The real US numbers are likely closer in line to the population disparity than what we get.

- Looks like a guys weekend at the Grand Junction, CO ranch of the owner of the Mississippi River in early December.

NW50 has made about 50 nauseating posts today, and once again GYERO is the same recycled **** as a result.

What a great return you've made. [eyeroll] [sick]

FOH, seriously dude. Christ.
I remember the good ole days when I started lurking in 2006. Lots of questionable behavior and pictures from parties that Tommy G attended. Now it’s politics, Covid and bourbon talk.

Covid glass half-full - we're getting a football game of some sort to gambol on every day this week but Wednesday.. and with any luck and a few more cases the NFL can just load us up with a game 7 days a week from here to the end of the season.

COVID is going to give us the first ever NFL double header- as in a team playing twice in one day. I can feel it.

Also GYERO hasn't properly lit up that hayseed Satterfield and the Cards 0-3 ACC start. I mean, they are flat garbage and don't look any better than they were when we housed them in Petrino's final game.

Can't see Tyra being as ruthless as Tomma and firing the guy as quickly as they did Kragthorpe so we should get a few more years to drag our nuts over that program.

Good call, Bonzo.

Things got so bad so quickly for them that Ennis even started responding to UK fans in-game and tweeting out ****.

Hilarious. The leash is short over there as the local sports media ***** have no patience, sadly.

We need to play their *** this year. Damn.

No idea how "the left" has become the arbiter of "science" . Just because you have sign in your yard indicating that you believe science is real does not mean that "the right" cannot mention anything about science.

I was just trying to rile 73 up to be honest, but look at the White House, bub.

Before the season, there were many UL fans claiming they were just 2 years from national title contention. Ha! Comical, man!

UL fans foolishly assumed that when they entered the ACC, the only teams above them were Clemson and Florida St. They didn't understand that they were the same level as Pitt, Cuse, NC St, GTech, etc.

They spent all of those years in mediocre conferences only having 3, maybe 4 truly tough games a year, if that. They underestimated how tough it is to face quality opponents each week. They mocked us endlessly for being a lower mid tier SEC team when that's exactly where they are after several years in the ACC.

Hell, if we swapped places, UL would be the worst team in the SEC and we would be celebrating 10 win seasons on the regular with possible playoff aspirations. Never has there been a fanbase with a more inflated opinion of themselves than UL football fans. They think they're a national power who've had a few down years, like Miami or Nebraska. They live in an alternative reality, kind of like Trump. It's kind of pathetic. I love it!

Some notes on Joe Morgan from his wiki.

10× All-Star (1966, 1970, 1972–1979)
2× World Series champion (1975, 1976)
2× NL MVP (1975, 1976)
5× Gold Glove Award (1973–1977)
In Morgan's NL MVP years he combined for a .324 batting average, 44 home runs, 205 runs batted in, 246 bases on balls, and 127 stolen bases.

Greatest 2nd baseman to ever play the game. Cancer sucks. RIP 8.

I didn't log on to read til noon (hurray for Columbus) and wondered what transpired to have 5 pages since last night....🤢

It must have been incredible to be a Reds fan in the 70s. The machine has lost a major cog. RIP Joe.

Great to see the revival of Rondo. Dude is an assist machine.

After the wife is off work today we are going to see about a dog who needs to be rehomed. I have mixed feelings because we just lost our beagle in July but our other dog is kind of lonely. We will see.

I was going to do the same thing and adopt another to keep my 9 yr old GSD/Collie company during the day. Was told by two rescues that is a bad idea unless you get another "senior" dog. Apparently the territorial and pack behavior takes over and sometimes the younger dog will attack the older. And they could get along for yrs then out of the blue they will attack if they see the older dog as getting weaker, etc. I don't know how valid it is and I'm sure many people have been successful in mixing older/younger together. But this dog dad ain't taking nary chance on something hurting my girl.

Sloot may have more info but I know of several people that have brought younger dogs into homes with an existing older dog. That sounds bogus.

My son, who has not been in pre-school since Covid (or seen many kids other than family), had his first soccer practice today. A few minutes after practice started, the lone black kid on the team arrived and stood next to my son. My son looked over at him and then yelled to my wife, "Yes! Landon is here", referring to his good buddy Landon from preschool (who is also black).

"That's not Landon", my wife responded disappointedly in front of the other kid's mom. "That's Mohammed. Totally different person. Looks nothing like Landon." My son then looked at Mohammed quizzically, like he was thinking, "okay, I'll call you Mohammed, but you and I both know you're Landon." Perhaps White Wayne Jr. needs some diversity training. 😬

You could have told me that ND only had 20 available hospital beds or 20 total hospital beds and I would have believed either.

How many of our 🏀cats get drafted at all? 2?

I'm no expert, but come from a short line of hardwood floorers and have done a fair amount myself (re-did my own last fall). Scratches will likely disappear with a good sand and refinish job on traditional hardwood floors (3/4" thick). Stains likely won't. They can usually be refinished a few times. Thinner, engineered hardwood floors can typically be sanded/refinished once. They're too easy to F up, so don't go with an odd jobber type. Hire someone who does it daily and doesn't have to rent a sander or anything like that.

Have had a 9 yr old terrier mix since she was a pup, and a 1 1/2 yr old Golden Retriever.....they act like they came from the same litter.
