Started a little "Red Dawn" like war in our local Middle School Facebook group a few weeks ago about needing to go back to school. Since then, I've had multiple people come up to me around town and say thank you for fighting the good fight. And my Facebook inbox has been flooded with messages from parents who wish to remain anonymous but completely agree.

Put a little pep in my step. WOLVERINES!!!

I mean you’re basically sending teachers into a collapsing, burning building in a kerosene suit. Or to the electric chair dipped in water. A death sentence.

Hope you feel good about yourself, bub.

In not so shocking news, Tiger King's exotic animal trainer/sex cult leader 'Doc' Antle has been indicted on wildlife trafficking charges. His business partner and two daughters also face charges. I'm betting that ***** Carol set it up.

The 911 call from the social worker in the Powell case is infuriating. The operator is like "lol cool why are you so upset silly broad" while this poor woman is desperately trying to save them. The guy was "reprimanded" but now owns his colossal f-up, has apologized, and trains other first responders on burnout and compassion fatigue so they don't screw up like he did.

and no I have no idea why I love crime stories so much but I DO OKAY leave me and my ID Network and Dateline and murder podcasts and Criminal Minds and SVU alone.

On a lighter note someone in my office abbreviated a client name as *** in all our files. Seems like...maybe...should have thought about that...

That guy ruled the arcade scene throughout the 80's.

Also, some deep cut Van Hagar specials just because (the classics are undeniably with David Lee, but Eddie’s rhythm and technical skill were on full display in the early Sammy years).

* 1,000% chance that Hatboggan's kid grows up to be to the right of Ben Shapiro.

* A presumptuous huzzah to Anthony Davis on winning every damn basketball title that matters. Not many people in the history of history have won an NCAA title, a Gold Medal, and an NBA title. Amazing.

* California seems terrible -- which sucks because it should be the best place in the world. There can't be a place with more advantages. Yet people are openly fleeing there, unless they are homeless.

* I bought a 2009 Lexus GX 470 and it has a six disc changer. It is surprisingly nice to just listen to CDs for a change and not go with podcasts, XM, etc. I like not having constant assaults on my attention.

I feel like new technology (Computer, Home entertainment setups, and especially a new phone or upgraded work system) goes in 4 stages...at least for me.

1.) Fuc*, I/We need to upgrade. This **** is so out of date it's a joke.

2.) SWEET, I have my brand new up-to-date technology. FINALLY!!!

3.) This touching sucks, wtf is going on, this doesn't even feel like mine?? I miss my old one, it was so much simpler.

4.) (Always sooner than expected, usually just a few days), I love this thing, can't believe I had that other piece of **** for so long.

- CSC, you need to answer the question on the table. You can’t drop a random like that and not come full circle. Step up. Are you John Cougar’s son or not?

- Lunch at Gutierrez Deli in Covington today. Best barbacoa tacos I’ve ever had. Also grabbed a mess of queso y rojas and pollo/mole tamales for dinner. Divine, even when reheated.

- I have a client who was sued today because they fired some ******* for pulling his bike into their facility and revving it up until the smoke alarms went off, the fire department had to come, and they lost production for a full half day. And he’s alleging age discrimination. And he’s also a big Q Anon guy, apparently. Go figure. ******** be ********.

-My wife’s grandma died Wednesday. She was an awesome old school, old money, southern Atlanta *****. She has (had) in her custody a baby grand piano which her ancestors had slaves bury in the dirt to avoid destruction when Sherman marched through. I just learned that this piano will be delivered to my house at some point in the not too distant future. Will I get canceled? Don’t really give a ****. This will be great for cocktail hour conversations.

- Had to respond to a demand letter today for a guy who was once my mentor. One of the suckiest things about being a business attorney is that invariably some of the guys who were your good friends and best client contacts get fired. It’s hard to write a letter denigrating a good friend. But at the end of the day, you got to put food on the table, so whatever. Also ethical responsibility yada yada yada whatever. Fart sound.

- I felt bad this week realizing how ill-informed I was on the life of Eddie Van Halen. Truthfully, my rock expertise is all focused on older stuff, and I’ve never much paid attention to the “second generation” hard rock guys. Nothing against them, just not my cup of tea. But reading some of these articles about what a virtuoso Eddie was on the six string makes me kind of regret that. Rest In Peace, brother.

-Last weekend I had one of the more monumental breakdowns I’ve ever had in response to a UK football loss. I feel like a dumbass in retrospect, because as a UK football fan, I should be used to these things. But I really believe the last two years made me get over that ****, and actually expect decent football. Maybe I’m a fool. But I don’t think so yet. Let’s get **** right tomorrow, crush these gimmicky clowns, and have a good fall.

-Peace. Love to you all. Or at least most of you. The rest can get f**ed.

Currently staying at the Ember Hostel off Grant and 8th in Denver for another day and a half, heading out to Great Sandunes afterwards, then Colorado Springs, and researching train tickets to the Pacific Northwest.

Had the debate this evening...but planning on some day drinking tomorrow around Denver. Holler if you want to join.

Meanwhile at the French Open this is what stares us down on Sunday morning.

Rafa 20, Fed 20, Joker 17...OR

Fed 20, Rafa 19, Joker 18.

Huge in terms of the GOAT in tennis history.

9am Rafa/Joker.

To me, as it stands, they are too close in total Grand Slams for that to be the determining factor in GOAT debates. If one of them got out ahead by 3 or 4 Slams, then it would matter more. But with all three of them so close to 20, I think you have to look at other things (head to head, time spent at #1, how much time lost to injuries, winning on multiple surfaces, etc).

It’s not going to be the determining factor in the GOAT debate. But with Fed maybe getting just one more, if that. Rafa at the end of the line and Joker barring injury having 3-7 more it’s pretty big.

That's kinda what I'm saying - if Djokovic ends up with around 25, with Fed and Rafa at 20 or 21 each, then it matters. And Djokovic wins the GOAT debate. But that's a big IF.

If they end up with something like 22, 21, and 20, then I'd look to other things.

It’s big in two ways. Rafa tying Fed and keeping Joker 4 away from the passing of both. OR if joker wins I think it’s inevitable barring injury he blows by both. A Rafa win and I think Rafa can have a crack at ending up with the most or tied with Joker. Pretty important match.

At least someone else has the mental capacity to understand I was posting how terrible the story was and actually worse than the one EVERY one else posted multiple pages about, but I make one post about a tragic story along the same lines and it is WTF is wrong with me ? With so much back drop related to the crime, it is impossible to post a small detailed post. WTF is wrong with posters who bash others for posting exactly the same **** they posted ?

I to like ID network, guess I like a train wreck. There are some really effed up, awful people in this world, ID just shines a spotlight on these idiots.

Supposed Van Halen heads and nobody mentioned the two best songs on 5150. Why Can't This Be Love and Summer Nights.
