-Herro. 😲 37 Pts in a game 4 W. Jesus, kid. Wonder if this will allow Cal to start utilizing these guys the way he did with Evans and had started to do with Maxey at the end of the year. Boston and Clarke are those dudes. Put the ball in their hands and let them make plays.

Serve a warrant for drugs in the middle of the day?

So they hit the actual crack house at the some what same time that night and drugs were confiscated there.

This was a sting, and had they got Taylor(the person controlling the money) and Glover(the actual drug kingpin) then the operation was done!

It would have been Glover’s 3rd strike distributing large amounts of crack cocaine.

But when it comes to Breonna Taylor they can’t discuss that within the actual case because she was killed.

I may be wrong here, but that part of why Cameron constantly repeats he can only speak on what happened within the facts of THIS case.

James Glover was the target, and his right hand man was Adrian Walker(Kenneth Walker brother or cousin).

It’s a shame the police can’t just come out and present this as an overall picture and explain what and how their plan was supposed to go, before being shot at.
Read the article, it addresses almost all of that.

* Breonna Taylor -- I think Tyler Childers nailed it. Just be a decent human being and have some empathy. Despite pieces of s*** like UKO claiming she should have made better decisions, that really could have been any of us. Incredibly sad all around.

Her death was tragic, as I said before, which you so eloquently skipped over. And yes, she should have made better decisions which led up to this event. And no, that wouldn't have been anyone on here that I know unless you are POS drug dealer/runner. You fit that mode?

Essentially, STFU because you're clueless about this.

- Love Trevor Bauer. Honest, open, willing to challenge MLB "norms", good sense of humor, and a bulldog on the mound. Maybe the highest praise I can give the guy is that I think he'd absolutely kill it in GYERO. Wish he was still an Indian Cleveland baseball player.

- All four teams do a *decent* job of it, but man.....the ball movement by the Nuggets and Heat is just spectacular.

- The Reds have never had a Cy Young winner? That's crazy. Most of you are too young to remember Mario Soto, but man....as a kid, he was the gold standard. Had a 2.42 ERA and 274 Ks for that 1982 team, which sucked so badly that his record was 14-13. Luckily for him, he was surrounded by such stars as Frank Pastore, Paul Householder, Wayne Krenchicki, etc.

- Underrated MLB look....the Mets. Love that blue/orange color scheme, the unis, etc. Terrible organization (though that might be changing with a new owner), but what a look.

- Nate Bargatze is my stand-up comedy go-to right now. He does comedy the way I wish I'd done it. He's pretty vanilla, but it's such good observational/story stuff. And a normal, GYERO-esque dude in his own right. His only major flaw is that he's inexplicably a huge Vandy sports fan. But other than that....he's top-notch.

- Fellas...time for a Diet Mt. Dew.

Folks... We ain’t talking weed dealing out of fraternity house. We’re talking crack cocaine and a full blown operation overseen by a local drug kingpin.

I had a roommate in college with a felony on his record for dealing (you know him). Had a next door neighbor that was the biggest extacy dealer in Lexington.

This hits way closer to home than some of you care to admit. Throwing stones in glass houses, and what not.

I get what you're saying but I don't think many of us were hanging out with dudes like Glover. JMO.

Agree... to an extent. The orange and blue is a solid color scheme (Florida does it really well) but for some reason the Mets somehow make pinstripes look awful. Delving into black wasn’t a positive either.

Read Anth's article. Good reporting with context. As I've said about most of the police shootings this year (regardless of race) the crimes committed are never punishable by death.

What's weird is that this is truly one of the cases that could, and should, straddle the proverbial fence. Somewhere between LeBron James and UKO is a person who would understand why her current boyfriend shot through the door (knowing the kind of dude she was previously with). You would also quickly understand why the police would rightfully return fire given the knowledge they had.

I suppose the biggest issues I have are that these units are not required to wear cameras (which would clear up if they knocked/announced) and that the only link they had for breonna is that she was often seen with him. No criminal record, no evidence that she was actively involved in his dealings.

She chose a bad dude to be involved with and left him, but not in time. That shouldn't be a death warrant for anyone.

“I don’t know because again you’re dealing with a limited calendar. For instance, the University of Cincinnati, we were supposed to play our second game of the season against those guys at their place. Talking to John Brannen, how fair is it for us to play their home game in front of literally no fans and then have him return the game? And I think the same thing holds true for the Louisville-Kentucky game. Where is the equity of Kentucky coming here in front of no fans and then having to go back to Rupp Arena in front of 21,000 fans?” Mack said.

“But I recognize and we recognize, man, the best rivalry — I know I’m biased — in all of college basketball. If there was somehow we could do this at a neutral site, again, that’s without talking to Kentucky and what their scheduling holds.”

Shaq ankle tat finally pissed me off. Touch him. Just an absurd notion.

-as always...there is a lot of grey area. Sadly many folks dont "do that" anymore. Im very far from a badge worshiper...but law/common sense exonerates (appears to me at least) the cops in this one. I have certainly been guilty of it myself in my youth...but "what you do and with whom you associate" has an effect on your life good and bad. The older i get the more i understand how **** can get "sideways" in an instant...i worry for everyone, no joke. No one "deserves" to get killed in this situation...it just happens. It is terrible and there are no good answers.

-go reds or whatever.

Bauer/Gray/Castillo I’ll take it in a short series.

They will at least make it interesting. It all comes down to whether the Reds hitters knock it over the fence. That’s the only way they ever score, and those runs are harder to come by in the playoffs.

Why is a specific crime's legal punishment the standard for what should or shouldn't be done by police officers?

Assault with a deadly weapon isn't punishable by death in court, but it seems pretty reasonable that attacking a police officer with a weapon (not related to the Taylor case, just a general example) might justifiably result in you being killed.

- Clark - how’s the pup?

He's moving around a bit more - medicine and dog PT seem to be working well... Just enjoying every day with him at this point. My wife is still working from home so he enjoys the constant attention. Neighbors kid knocked on the door yesterday and asked "can I play with your dog?" and he perked up for a while.

This will be the first time since 2007 that he wont be in the field on weekends with me. The last year or two he didnt even really hunt, just stayed on me while the other dogs worked- but it will really suck being out there without him.

-Getting more nervous about the game this weekend. Even with some momentum on our side, its still a really good Auburn team, at Auburn, and they have plenty of playmakers on that roster. Living outside of Birmingham there are probably as many Auburn fans as Alabama, and i'm sure they are all eagerly awaiting having a few words with the guy in the Prius with the badass new block K sticker.

-The 7:30 mid-week tee time is the way to go, imo. Send a few emails at the turn, then back in the office by 11 and can catch up and still get everything covered.

-Believe we established that chili is unacceptable until temps drop below 60. I'll allow it on a day if there is a peak temp in mid-60's, as long as the consumption doesnt occur until the mercury drops. Spaghetti in chili for me- but people need to realize it wasnt added for taste, it was just some easy filler to feed the masses.

-It seems Chris Mack doesnt think its fair to play UK at en empty YUm but then have to play next year in front of fans at Rupp. If you havent jumped on baord the disdain for him and Satterfield, then you are already way too late. Both are squirmy, evil little snakes in the grass. At least with their predecessors, they wore their ******** like a badge of honor for all to see and didnt hide from anything. This pair is going to creetch around in the shadows hiding behind a faux good guy persona.

I hate Mack because he looks like a Bond villain. The fact that he coaches Louisville just seals it.

Poor wording on my part, I was more speaking to the notion that 80 mentioned earlier. What often starts out as a broken tail light or a noise complaint or any multitude of benign issues ends up in tragic death. Which can largely be attributed to the wealth of power at an officers disposal.

The point I was attempting, and failing, to make was that we like to judge the victim or officer (depending on view point) for something in their past that had nothing to do with the situation rather than consider the alternative. As if the officer went to that apartment door to kill someone because he's a raging racist or breonna was at a table counting 50 stacks of drug money when shot.

It only serves tk muddy the waters. The important facts are whether walker was justified in shooting through the door (lack of arrest seems to say yes) and whether the police were justified in shooting back (they were). The only thing left to solve is if they should have even been there to begin with, and I hope we do.

Really? Major GDI vibes. Like wcc.
Nah, in another life Shaq would have been a KA tat and he is the dude that comes back to college after he graduates just to haze.

Maybe I'm wrong but he seems like a really intense guy even on subjects where it is misplaced.

- Few times in my life have I made a turn on a guy like I have with Jimmy Butler. Just love the way he plays. He’s always getting hustle plays on D and unlike many stars in this league, isn’t ball-dominant at all. Keeps it moving. Empowers his teammates.

Same.

Really incredible testament to Herro & the work he puts in to see how much Butler loves him, given he's generally hated most anyone good that he's played with. Doesn't show one OUNCE of jealousy, in fact, it's really the opposite. Really cool to see.
