Murray could end up being a better version of Steph when it’s all said and done. Similar ball skills, similar range, but bigger, stronger, more athletic. Just depends on what happens with the roster in Denver
Yeah no. Not in the same stratosphere with Steph for handles and passing, shot not as quick either.

Let's not forget what Curry had around him, a team that was exponentially better than what Denver is. We still don't know how he will perform after the big4 have been broken up, along with the remaining big3 now having their big contracts. Because of that, the bench had to take a hit and is one of the worst 2nd units in the NBA.
And his team when he entered the league was exponentially worse than what Murray had when he entered the league

I'm not sure that really matters much for this discussion. There's a reason Curry's 2nd contract wasn't anything to write home about.. Never won Finals MVP if I'm not mistaken. And the only time we've seen him be "elite" is basically once he had Klay and Dray around him. Doesn't really matter who had the worst team at any point, but it does matter who had the best team.. and Curry had 4-5 (3 for certain..) years of more talent around him than almost any elite player in history.

I doubt Murray will ever have a career like Steph has had, but even further doubt we'd see him have a supporting cast like Curry has.

However, it is interesting that there is a similarity between the two. It seems that Denver is going to have a very opportune contract in Michal Porter Jr. He's slated to make just 8 million over the next two years. Like Steph, Klay and Dray, that's a contract that is very favorable to the clubhouse, and gives them a lot of room to operate.

I think people are overhyping Steph a bit here and still underselling a 23 year old Jamal Murray.

Steph didn’t make the all star game or the playoffs till he was 25. Murray just saved a series with 3 straight 40 point games and 2 for 50 at 23 years old. I’m just sayin...
Steph’s best teammates by the end of the season at 23 years old were David Lee, rookie Klay, and Nate Robinson. Not remotely the same level of a roster as this Nuggets team has.
