This has been one hell of a second half to watch. I’m not a fan of any team per se but this is basketball. I love uk but watching a bunch of bricks and zones and charges is painful basketball to watch (college).

i can’t like this post enough. NBA is far better product than college. Officiating in college gets worse every year because they can’t hold the referees accountable for poor performance. More and more players leaving early to make a paycheck anywhere they can.

I’m gonna be honest, I keep up with college and Kentucky, but I watch very few games live anymore. and at this point if we got an nba team...well...at the end of the day I’m not gonna invest time and money into an inferior product.

Cheering for the Nuggets and Heat. Think we'll get the Clippers and 7 really, really tough games in the East. Can't pick a winner there. Both teams are much better equipped to beat each other than their previous opponents were.

Agree on the Celtics-Heat. Very tough call.

All the logic points to the Clippers winning tonight and the NBA is going to do everything it can to ensure Clippers vs. Lakers and then Lakers vs. Celtics to save their pathetic display of TV ratings that have been negatively affected by the woke-o-meter of the NBA and all the political nonsense IMO.

CBS for the NFL is already telling their analysts and such to briefly comment on it and move on. They are also saying they may not even show anthems from week 2 on to avoid any nonsense and that is a brilliant move by CBS. CBS gets that most people watch sports to watch sports and to escape the seriousness of the real world and most certainly to get away from politics.

It makes sense. Just don't show it. It's not like anyone in their homes is stopping what they're doing when the Anthem is played. Make it for the patrons and just be done with it.

The Clippers look like they just gave up when challenged the last two games. Not sure if they had help they could still beat Denver. [winking]
I do agree they the VIPs want Celtics-Lakers.

The ratings stuff has been pretty thoroughly debunked. Besides, if they were going to rig anything to combat wokeness I'm not sure a matchup of LeBron James vs Jaylen Brown is what they'd have in mind, with those being two of the most outspoken athletes on the topic, nor would they help Doc Rivers after his comments.

All logic points to the teams that have been playing the best basketball advancing. That's almost always how it goes in the NBA.

And speaking of the NFL, they had a big demonstration before the Thursday night game and the ratings were still up. The people who pretend to throw tantrums and post online that they're done with a league aren't nearly as important as they think they are.

I only knew about the "anthem stuff" because of the reports.
Really, how many times does someone watch the Anthem on a live sports broadcast, unless it's the Olympics?

Im just saying if it is close the clippers will get a call to beat the nuggets. Lakers and clippers are best teams by far so not surprised if either wins that series.

It feels like Butler kind of disappears in these moments. If he is the alpha hr should be/is, he needs to assert himself more offensively in these moments.
