Dude is gonna make a heck of a bench scorer when Boston or Clarke need a break!
He’s special but this is a tough year when you have kids like Boston and Clarke in front of you. He’ll get PT though. Too good not to.

True. But hey, go in, guard your man, rebound, and good things will happen. Also, you know we’ll see a foul trouble situation at some point. Will be good to have a scorer in the reserves. He’s special but this is a tough year when you have kids like Boston and Clarke in front of you. He’ll get PT though. Too good not to.
So many combinations for this roster, it should be an excellent offensive team. He’s gonna play more than a lot of ppl think.
That man can score. Lot of those shots were DEEP and he’s barely straining/jumping.
he could be good for 3-5 baskets a game and thatd be more than enough.
Hope cal rides the hot hand when necessary.
very curious if he ever is open to Clarke Boston and Allen playing 1-3 for spurts.
And very few drew iron. All net. Kid can light up the scoreboard. He’s gonna play more than a lot of ppl think.

We’ve brought in plenty of labeled scorers over the years who never see the floor. He’s gonna play more than a lot of ppl think.

Is he quick and athletic enough to defend his man? That’s the only way he gets minutes and I have my doubts he’s that kind of player.
Is it just me or is he shuffling his feet? No question he's a helluva shooter, I'm just concerned that he's going to get called on that a lot.

Yea he definitely travelled twice by my count. Is it just me or is he shuffling his feet? No question he's a helluva shooter, I'm just concerned that he's going to get called on that a lot.
This will definitely be called a travel on him unfortunately, he’s bout to meet SEC officiating.Yea he definitely travelled twice by my count.
That is not totally accurate about walking calls. Plus once a player is identified to do something the refs watch it more closely.Versa I said the same thing. Hope he doesn’t do that in games. But in college ball it might not matter. They don’t call the game right anyway and rarely call obvious walks.
Your not.How many times will he be called for a walk before his jump shot? Or am I being too critical?

I am also wondering if that is not called at the next level ala “Hardin step back”.Versa I said the same thing. Hope he doesn’t do that in games. But in college ball it might not matter. They don’t call the game right anyway and rarely call obvious walks.
Ware and Fletcher will won't play as much but yes those 8 will be our main guys. You look at recent years and you have, typically, 8 guys getting 10 minutes or more with another guy or two getting high single digits average - getting clock in just some games, or for a stretch. You can bet on Askew, Mintz, Boston, Clarke, Brooks, and Sarr (assuming eligible) to be 6 of those guys. Two of Allen, Fletcher, Ware, Jackson end up in the rotation.
Now you're just being ugly...Jared Carter moves better than this guy.
I think he sure as hell could at some points for stretches. That’d be a huge lineup. Allen has a 7’2 wingspan. He’s gonna play more than a lot of ppl think.

spot no. in the past 5 years the 7th and 8th man in the rotation were:
2019:
7th: brooks 15mpg 4ppg
8th: juzang 12mpg 3ppg
2018:
7th: EJ 15 mpg 4 ppg
8tht: Richards 12mpg 4 ppg
2017:
7th: JV 17 mpg 6ppg
8th: Richards 14mpg 5ppg
2016:
7th: Gabriel 17mpg 4ppg
8th: Mulder 10mpg 4ppg
2015:
7th Skal 15mpg 6ppg
8th Mathews 10mpg 1ppg
average
7th: 15.8 mpg 4.8ppg
8th: 11.6mpg 3.4ppg
if you are the 7th or 8th guy in the rotation, your contribution is very minimal. and right now the guys getting top minutes would be: mintz, askew, clarke, boston, brooks, and sarr. a third big (ware or jackson) will get minutes a lot of minutes as well. leaving ware or jackson, fletcher, and allen fight for the 8th spot.
Because they’re travels. Those little hop steps might get him some traveling calls.
That hop step is just a timing thing in shooting drills to simulate catching the ball while moving. Lots of guys do it in drills and don't do it in games, where they aren't standing perfectly still.
