Met / randomly sat* next to Through Blue at last UK-Duke debacle in Indy. Nice guy.

*Until atlantahappycat and I left our seats in disgust, to go drink and watch from the concourse. Which was very, very early.
I had wondered where you went off too. I assumed you had a premonition and got out of there. I lasted until two minutes into the second half then I had had enough

I realize it's the moment astronauts live for, but watching this Space-X countdown coverage all I can think about is what must be going through their (and loved ones) mind & body during countdown.

The building cheers by all of those literal “rocket scientists” is great in those Space-X videos. With each “GO” or “check” or whatever, it’s awesome.

There aren’t a lot of scenarios in sports where there are known “checkpoints” to be cleared in order for things to progress ( there is repeatedly “one man to beat” for what seems like forever). That Beijing relay medley win for Phelps is what comes to mind for me.

I guess racing is closest but only if everyone was cheering for the same team vs. the field.

SpaceX is pretty awesome even though there’s always a chance Musk is using NASA to take over the world.

which at this point might be a welcome change

He already told California where to stick it. We have a reality tv star and a dementia patient as our hopefuls.

Bring on Elon.

-Speaking of "what ifs", what if Tubby lands Jay Williams, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Durrant, and/or Dirk?

-There are A LOT, and I mean A LOT, of people deserving the title of "biggest ***** during the pandemic" but Dan Wolken is my easy winner. That dude is straight up cheering for the industry to stay locked down. I always kinda liked the dude but he's being a huge ***** right now.

-Skeptical of Elon. No hate, just something off there in a Dr Evil sorta way.

-Just booked a summer vacation. Man, that felt great. Just anything on the horizon to keep life in balance.

-Cal needs to get that first '21 recruit on board. I don't even know who it might be which is a little weird, hopefully just covid.

-Come on weather, gtfo and let's launch this sucker.

-Hell yes!! Crispy Boy for Granny. Cheers.

If you can't enjoy an ice cold domesto I don't have much time for you. Have fun choking down your imperial double hoptimus stout while pretending to enjoy it when deep down you know it taste like PTI's socks after a 100 mile run/walk. Golden American domestics are glorious, f*ck you if you disagree, because you're wrong.

I don’t mind the rain, especially this time of year. It’s good for the crops. But when it rains from sunup until sundown . . . well . . . A MAN CAN ONLY PLAY SO MANY GAMES OF MONOPOLY WITH HIS PRETEEN KIDS!

Getting some rain today, but Louisville weather was damn near perfect for 3 or 4 straight days so I'm cool with it.

NBA discussing World Cup style group play sounds pretty awesome. The hater in me was ready to write off this years title winner, but this has me intrigued.

To be honest, I'm not even a fan of beer in bottles any more. Just cans of swill -- and it is bliss. I don't need any fussiness between me and ignoring the world's problems for a moment.

I have a bestie that sells booze for the big distributor in town. She used to work retail (grocery stores, gas stations), but now her ONLY clients are bars. Huge, famous bars you’ve all been to that often order by the pallet. But of course she hasn’t had a single client or sold a single thing in two and a half months.

Despite that, and despite every single bar in the entire state being closed, and every single restaurant, her company’s overall sales are up 16% ytd.:eek:

God. Bless. America. I’m so F’ing proud of you.

We convinced ourselves Natty tasted just like Bud Light. This was done because BL was saved for special occasions for 6 broke *** roommates. We'd most drink 3 or 4 "good" beers then switch over to the cheap **** because we quit caring about taste.

Speaking of beer, the Miller Lite vs. Bud Light blind taste test is more difficult to get correct than you'd think. Wodie and I had his wife pour a bunch of them at Two Keys? and we went roughly 50/50.

I don't know what's happened to inflation/taxes/whatever, but I specifically remember 15-packs of Miller Lite in college being ~ $7 (graduated in 2002). You'd have to be a true broke *** to not be able to swing that, as Natty/Beast/Busch/etc really wasn't that much cheaper.

And now we *definitely* need to know what her name is, since there's a 90% chance several of us on there know her. In fact, I've got a really solid guess who it is.

If I ever did know her name - which I’m not sure I did - I definitely don’t remember it now. But she looked like the bitter beer face guy If he had medium length blonde hair.

Congrats on the make out?!?!

Completely agree on the 1am. After party and then hookup could be accomplished and still functional by
Noon the next day. Game changer.
