-Romo is still trying to make the tour and goes through USOpen qualifiers every year. Also, he didn't take 14 years off golf after last playing at 17.

-I think the documentary has been awesome. Last night was pretty real for it being a Jordan fluff piece. "You've never won anything" is a heluva line.

-He got beat up pretty good last night but 'The Glove' is a great nickname.

-This ***** late winter just won't give up.

-Working some weird quirks out of G's swing. Teaching a kid a new technique, shew.

"You're going to rotate your body and keep this foot planted, just turn it like you're squishing a bug."

Kid immediately picks back foot up on every swing and stomps down dramatically during the swing.

"Ok, forget that. Let's try something else. Let's just keep our feet on the ground and swing hard."

Kid resumes this Bruce Lee/Elvis leg move for several days and has add a pirouette. He's seemingly forgot how to swing a baseball bat.

**Whispers under breathe** "Goddamnit, you're the worst f*cking teacher of baseball ever"

It’s too late already....


For real though the creeping feeling that it’s too late for your kid to try a new sport when they’re 9 years old is awesome.

“oh you wanna play baseball? sorry, kid- you’re in third grade and too far behind. guess you should have thought about that when you wanted to learn how to ride a bike. go swim or something.“

Shorts:

*Have to respect the Bulls clean classic uni look in the face of the 90's garbage that some of these other teams were sporting.

*No amount of bribing has worked to get my boy into baseball, basketball or soccer. He likes golf, which is something, but I'll feel like I've taken an L as a father if I can't get one team sport to catch on.

*I'm glad I'm not a mayor, judge exec or head of law enforcement in the C'Wealth this week, going to be a lot of tattle tailing going down.

*Quarantine has no doubt increased my family's carbon footprint.

*As a lover of Seinfeld, I think it's high time I dive into Curb (isn't it on Netflix now?).

*Lex has always been an underachieving city for basketball and football talent, nice to see it start to produce.

Why? I started wrestling as a sophomore. Had a buddy start soccer as a sophomore and start for a college team.

Kid's baseball is too funny. Was talking to the league commissioner the other night of the Huber Boys league and shew wee is he excited about little league baseball starting back up. Went ahead and asked if we would be ok doing league baseball every night during the week and then traveling all-star tournaments on the weekends. UNTIL SCHOOL STARTS BACK......

I literally didn't answer and just gave a half-smile like I just had a stroke. The Huber boys will only be 6 and 8 this year. Baseball every night of the week and weekend? Jesus Christ......... :chairshot: The kids excitedly said YES, we'd love to play every night.:uzi:

Don't get me wrong, I love watching the boys play ball and enjoying the game, but really.... What about my damn summer?

Allegedly the middle school coach in our town has said that if a kid isn't on a high-level, travel baseball team, he's not going to make the cut for the middle school baseball team. Again, allegedly but WTF. Do kids not ride bikes, go fishing, or play tag anymore? We know 7 year olds that have hitting coaches, throwing coaches, and running coaches and their baseball training schedules probably resemble that of some college players. Just goofy.

Have you inceptioned him? Mine was stuck on basketball while I'm trying to talk him into getting ready for the season. Wasn't having any of me asking him. So I just put on some tee ball youtube videos, he's all in now.

He's making the movement? Just being cute with title. No one is trying to initiate off the back foot but if you rotate through and dont turn your back foot you dislocate your knee. More likely you swing with your arms or lift your rear leg and end up with all weight on front leg.

Especially when teams like Bowling Green has dominated a class in football and even had BG and Warren Central win Sweet 16's, and with about 1/8th of the population.

Do other places have high profile in state kids who go out of state and turn into bitches towards their home schools or just UK?


And if Watkins actually manages to play as a freshman then hopefully Bossman Fat checks the sh** out of him and makes him wish he was run blocking all game.

In all honesty, everyone teaches it a little differently. At champions, Coach Blythe and Clary are great with kids. Once he gets a little older, Pookie Jones is as good as a hitting instructor as there is in town.
My stepson didn’t start playing until he was 6 then we started working with Blythe when he 7 or 8. He hit his first 3 homers on a Babe Ruth field when he was 9.
If I had to do it all over, I would switch up instructors if/when you decide to go that route. My stepson is 16 now and still sees Blythe but I think the more sets of eyes on them the better. Plus you learn different things to incorporate into his routine from each one.
Brax or others may have other ideas or suggestions but it sounds like brax’s were born country strong and mashing came naturally.
