Good to see Amazon get their free annual commercial from 60 Minutes tonight.

When do they officially take over the world? Next year? 2022?

Portnoy can be a dope but him winning the auction to watch a Monday Night game with Roger Stokoe Goodell at his house is a recipe for high comedy*.

*no chance the shield allows that to happen

Winner is subjected to background check. No chance it happens

Portnoy still comes out on top, Goodell will have to turn down 250k to charity for it not to happen.

The charity will not be shorted. The NFL could reach in their couch and find 250k in change to donate.

And yes, Barstool wins, probably more-so if he gets shunned. His fans will rally around him, they'll sell t-shirts and he'll have even more material to heckle the commissioner.

What kind of dumbass legitimately wants to watch a football game with Roger Goodell, let alone pay huge money for it?

[laughing]

Talk about a dude with absolutely zero self awareness.

It's not that he wants to watch the game with Goodell, he wants Goodell to watch the game with him. Especially after thier past. Best thing the Commish can do is extend the olive branch and spin it to be all about the charity getting a ton of money. Otherwise Davey Day Trader is going exploit the **** out of it and come out way further ahead than 250 large.

I was talking about Goodell lacking self awareness. A dinner date with him sounds like the very last pick in the Make-A-Wish fantasy draft.

So aside from Portnoy pulling an all time troll maneuver — what slack jawed fool bids on that dubious experience?

Dave screwed up and told what his max bid was, either on his frozen pizza review or his DDTG vid. Not sure if he didn’t understand the process or he didn’t care. I’m guessing someone, or a bunch of fools, bid it up to that amount and then got out.

- The Sonics lost in 96 because they wore those awful unis instead of the classic gold and green.

- The NBA should be on NBC. Travesty that it’s been on ABC/ESPN for this long

Quite a bit of revisionist history with Jordan's baseball career. Don't let the enthusiasm of his aura and The Last Dance blind you to his abilities.

He barely hit .200, his on-base % was below .300, and he hit for almost no power. Add to that he led the league in errors, and was a horrible baserunner -- getting thrown out on 18 of 48 stolen base attempts.

So he was basically the worst hitter, base runner, and fielder in the league that season. Of course you can assume he'd have been a much better player had he committed full time, but it's impossible to say to what extent. It would take a mighty gigantic leap of faith to think he'd tranform from the worst player in the league to a major leaguer simply by making it his full time job. Technically, almost anyone would be capable of being the worst player in the league.

Happy to drop a big ole [eyeroll] on this hysteria.

-Forde somehow wrote an article about Duke, Zion, FBI investigations, Kansas, recruiting violations and didn't find a way to work Kentucky or Calipari in there? Is he going soft?

-Gee, wonder why WCC hates Barstool?

-Jordan hadn't played baseball above HS and not at all in 14 years. He then went out and hit above Mendoza in AA. That's fairly impressive in itself.

-That series is awesome, can't believe it's surpassing the hype. Worship.

-Got a bit snookered Saturday night with the boys on Zoom. Woke up pretty fuzzy yesterday and it took until mid-afternoon to get over it. High proof bourbon, shew.

-80s in the forecast. Finally. Thank you. LFG.

-Dave started out a bit too weird but glad I kept watching. It's turning into a decent show.

Yeah, it was complete nonsense. Sorta like saying Pippen was the second best player in the NBA back then.

Fully understand your point, but how many guys could go 14 years without playing at all to hitting .200 against AA pitching?

Jordan should never have been at AA. Not even A-Ball. Generally AA is for top prospects and most jump from AA to MLB (with maybe a very short stint at AAA for logistical/timing reasons)

Jordan should’ve started in Rookie Ball, for him to start where he did, hitting .200 was a solid accomplishment. He also drove in 50 runs, nothing to sneeze at.

For me, if you’re skilled/athletic enough to play basketball you have the ability to excel at any sport given time/practice. There is no doubt in my mind, given Jordan was an elite athlete, with arguably the best work ethic on the planet, that he would’ve become a capable baseball player.

he may not have become a starter in the bigs, but he certainly would’ve become a role player and 4th/5th outfielder.

All the flaws PTI mentioned should absolutely have happened for a 31-year old who hadn’t worn spikes in 15 years... he also stepped in and immediately had a 13-game hitting streak, against other teams top prospects. They had to stop throwing him fastballs to slow him down.

i don’t care who you are, that alone tells me you have a future in the game.

Wow, he definitely could've played for the Reds.

Dekel Crowdus. We are so SEC it hurts.

6 Fredrick Douglas players currently hold UK offers. Pretty cool we have a developing football powerhouse in our backyard.

Each year UK Football gets a little bit cooler, and with additions like Bossman, Gatewood, Donut, etc etc...we are on the verge of knocking the door down. We're about to be the **** in the SEC.
