*Man, too late now, but I really wish I wouldn't have decided putting a brisket on at 2 AM will be a good idea.

Using the Franklin method. Salt and pepper only.

Trimmings recipe? Some good meat going in the trash if not. I know, on a tee...

*Been saying the math was going to ruin Candy's plan of being last to open. I've been tough on him, but in reality what did we expect? Hard to blame him when Kentucky has been the last state to do anything remotely risky that will help the economy since horse racing.

*Off tomorrow and the wife isn't. Glorious.

Those scoring at home Tennessee has tested 226,000 people good for 8th per capita in the country. Kentucky 86,000 good for 37th. Not to worry though it's not all great news we're now up 60 in total deaths on them. But I guess this is a private vs public lab thing.

Also, somehow the Lundergans got the bid to build the 7m field hospital at Nutter. K.

Watch the next two videos as well. Honestly the pellet smoker takes the hardest part out of
Brisket, controlling the temp.

I liked using mustard as a binder for
The salt and pepper. Oak pellets. Just make sure you top that sucker off.

Mint jelly on any meat? GTFOH.

Saddle of mutton at Keen’s came with it. Gave it a go.
Had a dinner reservation there the night newly elected POTUS DJT showed up. It was the night after UK played MSU at MSG.

Didn't make it as I was still at the hotel too hungover to go out.

I haven't been as *******-deep in the Coronavirus stuff as some of you, so I don't have a complete handle on the complaints about the lack of testing and what can be done about it. For example, there's a test site on Newtown Pike in Lexington that I pass on those days when I have to go to the office. It is clearly advertised and apparent that it is a testing site open to the public, yet I never see anyone there actually getting tested. Why is that? Honestly, I get the sense that a reason we haven't conducted more testing is that people just flat out don't want to be tested.

A few things on that.

That has been open for about a week and my guess is, since Lex has like 2 deaths in the last month and our hospitals are sitting ******* empty right now, it's not very prevalent around here. So it took that long for the state to get convenient drive thru testing to the 2nd largest city. We still don't have any in NKY counties with state provided drive thru, or if we do it's within the last 3 days, and certainly none in the outlying areas. We also haven't be encouraging or allowing people without symptoms to get tested or taken steps to test large vulnerable groups in confined spaces (prisons, nursing homes, etc) until very recent. We also don't have the tracing set up yet to really do any good with mass testing so that sucks as well. The big bumps in recent testing is because we finally tested Green River.

Regarding the test, we have SOME antibody tests but I've been trying for 3 days to get one and can't. Has to be doctor ordered.

If I was going to go to a nursing home or other high risk area, I might consider being tested at a pop-up location. Since I just assume I've got COVID and I am healthy and asymptomatic until this passes, I behave accordingly. I really don't want to have someone sticking a swab in my nose or mouth and giving up my health data without a good reason.

-iirc...folks aren't/weren't supposed to get tested unless directed to do so by medical types.
