Enjoying 80 degrees and sunshine. Found a new author, Vince Flynn, so I've been reading a little. Planning to tune in to Svengoolie tonight and watch an old B rated horror flick.
I'm still bummed out about it because I was supposed to be in Nashville watching our Cats play. I hope the media is happy now that they've got everything cancelled.
I've enjoyed the last couple of days.
Took the family to see the Roosevelt, King Jr. and Jefferson memorials, and we went to the national zoo.
I feel pretty relaxed. (Not checking my phone for score updates is only one part of this.)
Praying that we all stay healthy and that those affected get the treatment they need.

No doubt the media loves to play up a crisis but this one is probably a case where it's better to overplay than underplay. Italy, France and Spain are all in lockdown mode now other than for groceries, pharmacies, necessary goods and hospitals. Almost all commercial businesses are on shut down. The U.S. media had nothing to do with that decision. This is all about listening to the scientists and mitigation of the virus spread. Allowing it to spread rapidly without mitigation looks like Italy, which has a Health Care system in absolute crisis now because of a lack of attention to the growing crisis until it was too late.
Still discombobulated a bit. Without watching UK yesterday and today, and no Players Championship, it is confusing. Don't even seem like Saturday. I did play golf today, mowed the grass, put out pre-emergence. Still feels like something isn't right, and of course, it isn't.
It would have been nice to have watched basketball these three weeks instead of watching CNN and letting them scare everyone to death. Stress is a killer.
This **** is really messing with my business; I’m in restaurant industry. It’s destroying me since last Friday after lunch. Completely destroying me.
Hope everyone can hang in there and survive this ****. Know it’s an economic burden for most of us. Just unbelievable the hype coming from every side. I’m just a country hick trying to survive, so I know I’m not informed enough to engage in some threads, so I don’t. If you see me post, it’s usually just trying to lighten the mood. Decided to go to The Horseshoe to get a steak before everything gets shut down. Took forever, overcooked, barely made it home before it all came out with such force that I may need a new toilet.

My family is all doing fine. We did have a bit of a brush with this thing. My 62-year old mother was in the hospital the same time as those people were at the West Chester hospital with the virus. As far as we know though she had no contact with anyone anywhere near those folks. Or anyone that treated them for that matter.

I think someone said it in a earlier post but it’s all about flatting the curve. Me and my people are on the healthcare frontlines and our fear is overwhelming the healthcare systems with an influx of patients. Shutting everything down buys time and is the right move. It will still be basically the same outcome of infected and deaths but over a longer time so that we can work on a vaccine and treatments while not overwhelming the healthcare staff and supplies.

Since Kroger was out of everything I like to eat, having no toilet paper became moot.

Well, so far, I have watched the 1996 Final Four games, the 1998 regional final and final four games and will watch more tomorrow :sunglasses:. I also plan to read a lot and study this week along with checking on my elderly parents to make sure they have what they need. Praying that this virus dissipates quickly with minimal loss of life. Trusting in God for all things<><..

A Hopkinsville staple. I’m not the world’s largest fan of it. When I was a kid you couldn’t eat in there hardly unless you wanted to come out smelling of smoke. Place was so acrid it looked like the English Moors. I haven’t eaten there in moons. It’s a ding to my Hopkinsville native card for sure; however I more than make up for it with my nearly weekly trips to Ferrell’s.
