Enjoying 80 degrees and sunshine. Found a new author, Vince Flynn, so I've been reading a little. Planning to tune in to Svengoolie tonight and watch an old B rated horror flick.

Unless I was playing in a game or a tournament I think this is the 1st Saturday I haven't watched some kind of sport on the tube since cable TV was born. Very weird. Mecum is still operating so at least there's something to watch.

I've enjoyed the last couple of days.

Took the family to see the Roosevelt, King Jr. and Jefferson memorials, and we went to the national zoo.

I feel pretty relaxed. (Not checking my phone for score updates is only one part of this.)

Praying that we all stay healthy and that those affected get the treatment they need.

Hanging out here and on E-bay.Really a bad year for the NCAAT to be canceled,I think there would have been some epic games. No golf sucks too. I hope things work out better than expected and get back to normal soon.

I can't help believing that the news media is going overboard with the dire predictions. We will probably never know the real answer to that question. They seem to cry wolf when a Pomeranian walks past

It seems like we can't trust the media since the days of Walter Cronkite or sportscasters since Cawood
No doubt the media loves to play up a crisis but this one is probably a case where it's better to overplay than underplay. Italy, France and Spain are all in lockdown mode now other than for groceries, pharmacies, necessary goods and hospitals. Almost all commercial businesses are on shut down. The U.S. media had nothing to do with that decision. This is all about listening to the scientists and mitigation of the virus spread. Allowing it to spread rapidly without mitigation looks like Italy, which has a Health Care system in absolute crisis now because of a lack of attention to the growing crisis until it was too late.

Hope everyone can hang in there and survive this ****. Know it’s an economic burden for most of us. Just unbelievable the hype coming from every side. I’m just a country hick trying to survive, so I know I’m not informed enough to engage in some threads, so I don’t. If you see me post, it’s usually just trying to lighten the mood. If you don’t like it, kiss my ***.

My family is all doing fine. We did have a bit of a brush with this thing. My 62-year old mother was in the hospital the same time as those people were at the West Chester hospital with the virus. As far as we know though she had no contact with anyone anywhere near those folks. Or anyone that treated them for that matter.

Bring back Ukbasketballlive. The gov probably shut in down but it was the best if ya wanted to watch past UK games.
I am not discounting the people who brings us great replays today, I am just saying that site was great for older games.
Truer words were never spoken, er... written. That was the best site/page.

Life without UK basketball sucks for sure. And while here in Western Kentucky we haven’t had any real coronavirus diagnosis, we are still a little on edge about it. TP is scarce and hand sanitizer is a thing made of legends in long forgotten lore. Folks are staying mostly indoors today for a lot of reasons.

Personally, I go from not being worried about this at all to being somewhat concerned. Just with my past dealings with my parents’ health issues I’m tired of watching people get sick and hurt. So, for me I’m used to hearing bad health news and I sit on the fence of waiting for a big “bomb” so to speak on this Covid-19 outbreak.

Just thought I drop a line to see how everyone is holding up mentally. There’s been not much on the tube today and it’s cold and wet down here.

*Sigh* is an understatement for sure.
The metro ATL area.....doing ok.

Grocery stores are ok.

Gas is still in good supply.

Have enough TP to last a while.

I think someone said it in a earlier post but it’s all about flatting the curve. Me and my people are on the healthcare frontlines and our fear is overwhelming the healthcare systems with an influx of patients. Shutting everything down buys time and is the right move. It will still be basically the same outcome of infected and deaths but over a longer time so that we can work on a vaccine and treatments while not overwhelming the healthcare staff and supplies.

Very sad. It still doesn’t seem real. My wife doesn’t watch game with me. Usually leaves the room when I get red assed. She ask me yesterday what was wrong with me. I reminded her the tourney got cancelled. She said oh you are not over that yet. Married 21 years and she still doesn’t get me.
I'm in the same exact boat as you except we have been together for almost 20 years and married almost 16.

Not bad in Northern Indiana.

Feels like a power outage without sports:(

Amazed at the toilet paper shelves everywhere. Now frozen pizzas are in high demand.. lol

Kids home from school for a month worried baseball season will prolly get canceled.

Wife came home from Work today and asked me how Kentucky did today:uzi:
I know I went to Walmart to shop today and they hardly had anything in the food section... My daughter is off school until April 10th!

Well, so far, I have watched the 1996 Final Four games, the 1998 regional final and final four games and will watch more tomorrow :sunglasses:. I also plan to read a lot and study this week along with checking on my elderly parents to make sure they have what they need. Praying that this virus dissipates quickly with minimal loss of life. Trusting in God for all things<><..

“The Horseshoe” surely we can’t be thinking of the same place. Innerds can’t take two places like that.

A Hopkinsville staple. I’m not the world’s largest fan of it. When I was a kid you couldn’t eat in there hardly unless you wanted to come out smelling of smoke. Place was so acrid it looked like the English Moors. I haven’t eaten there in moons. It’s a ding to my Hopkinsville native card for sure; however I more than make up for it with my nearly weekly trips to Ferrell’s.

Well since there is no civil or criminal court in Kentucky until the middle of April, my schedule has suddenly become wide open. It does suck that college basketball has ended. It’s just bizarre that there is no live sports on. It’s surreal as hell.

I hadn't ate in there since I was a teenager. I was very disappointed, won't be going back.
