Cal is just a guy anymore.

UK giving him a lifetime contract was the equivalent of the Reds signing Barry Larkin to a 3 year, $27 mil extension in 2000 instead of trading him to the Mets.

Whenever Cal pipes off about not watching tape on teams and worrying about what we do I always assumed it to be coach speak for "I got the dudes, do you?". Now, I believe him. The best we've looked this year was when he was unable to coach in a locker room and Hagans was sitting on the bench. Kenny was cool with the kids, we mixed up defenses and our offense utilized it's strengths. Cal doesn't want the blame of the Evansville loss (I don't give a **** who was or wasn't playing, our walk-ons would compete for starting spots there) but he damn sure wants the credit when we work our way out of the mire he creates and I've had enough of it.

And god forbid we get the refs in a room this offseason and ask them if their wives promised to fellate them the same way they fellate their GD whistles in the SEC. Stop bogging down games with your horseshit touch foul-flopping ********.

He’s right, you know. Cal loves to pat himself on the back, especially if he feels like he is sticking it to the critics. However he is awfully thin skinned when it comes to criticism i.e. the Evansville game. Drives me crazy when he gets all swaggy and basically delittlles the fan base for criticism then continually acts like a maniac on the sideline and blows lead after lead.

I’m not sure I get the “Cal is fat and lazy” takes. Thought we had been over this, stubborn and behind the times of modern basketball is more the lean.

It refers to him losing his fastball in recruiting, sticking with the same assistants who seem to be clearly a notch below that pack of killers with Orlando and Rod Strickland, and the fact that (you know) he has gotten fat.

He has no reason to be better because we already gave him the deed to the house, full custody of the kids and a 10 million dollar salary so his refusal to adapt would mean he's either an oblivious idiot or he has no real incentive to do better.

Listen to him make excuses for Evansville. Listen to him cherry-pick about shooting 3's only after their worst game shooting 3's. Listen to him talk about everything but what Cal did wrong, which usually he has the fewest words for. Guess I need to coach that up huh.

He's a contractor you paid upfront that is stretching a 1 month job into 20 years.

He is the epitome of fat and lazy.

Per KSR callers on the post game, Hagans point refused to go back into the game (sounds like it was probably when we had the big lead?) and Cal told him “go in or to the locker room” and Hagans replied “why, so you can take me back out?”

Wish he would’ve chosen the locker room option.

This is a gift, and Cal won’t take it.

You can sit on the bench till we need you this March, or you can gtfo now and go prepare for the draft with The Dragon lmao.

Maxey is the one who should be yelling at Cal. I heard his Dad was a coach, would love to hear what him and his son talk about.

Good thing we have 3 PGs!

But by letting the dumb & blind one drive the bus may be a poor decision. Fatso should take the keys away until the chauffeur proves he’s not a stupid spaz *****.

We only have 5.5 players any way. We have to have Hagans get his fraggle looking head out of his *** to do anything in March.

We have two Top 5 recruits next year. It’s pretty GD obvious why he lost his fastball in recruiting. Pay attention.

Great, two studs that won't have any plays called for them and they can suffer while Cal picks which loser horse he rides into the NBA draft.

Can't. Fvcking. Wait.

Chase nailed it. It makes absolutely no sense that I care about this stupid game as much as I do. I have a beautiful wife, three wonderful kids, a good job, a great family, and my health. Yet here I am pissed off about a game played by a bunch of teenagers I've never met and who don't even know I exist. What a dumbass.

Cal's not "lazy" in the sense that he sleeps til noon and lets his assistants run practices. He is "lazy" in the sense of he's no longer employing an innovative style of play and no longer running a one of a kind program and he doesn't seem to be as pissed off and motivated by losses as he used to. The "burn your village" guy is gone. It's semantics, really. Whether it's considered "lazy" or "behind the times," I think everybody's talking about the same thing.

What gets me is the "too cool for school" ******** that he does. The fear is that he'll never change because changing would be an admission that he was wrong, which he'll never do. Even the one time he basically did admit that he'd been doing things wrong for an entire season (the "tweak" in 2014) he tried to turn it around and tell the media and fans how dumb they were and how smart he was because they weren't "basketball bennies" and didn't understand the nuances of the game the way he did.

I was halfway expecting a loss at UF Saturday, so win that one and we're right back where I thought we'd be anyway though in the end it doesn't really matter because this group ain't winning a title and we're all going to die anyway go cats.

Florida was setting up to be the dream GAMBOL spot of the season. No touching clue what to expect now.

Really weird loss, especially being up 17 in the 2H. Just an absolute melt on both ends of the ball. Maryland gets run, Penn State loses at home, Purdue rolls Iowa. It's a strange year and anybody can win this damn thing. You're lying to yourself if you didn't see this team being on a scale of "bounced on the first weekend" to "Atlanta trip". Hopefully this pisses them off enough to make a stab at the latter.

Agree 100% with all criticism that has been mentioned of Cal. Dude is a raging buffoon on the sidelines during these games. 0% chance I could tolerate that if I am a player, but whatever and we're ending generational poverty.

They beat Davidson and Buffalo before losing to Bruce Weber and Kansas State. I wouldn't exactly call that "a run."

They won two games that many picked them to lose, and were fairly impressive doing it. We made it to the second weekend. Cal rarely completely embarrasses himself in the Big Dance.

Which was the point.

Know some don’t want to hear it. That’s fine. I try to enjoy March until I can’t anymore. Never been a “don’t get your hopes up” guy. When we lose it’s going to suck anyway.
