Kris Lang was incredibly unlikeable. Also his name was "Kristoffer" which is awful. I wiki'd him to see if he ever played overseas and found he did play in Venezuela, where his nickname was "White Dinosaur"

Was going to post something similar, hated that toucher. I have more UNC animosity than Duke. I just grew up around more UNC fans.

There are certainly much more expensive unwanted "Life" purchases, but for some reason none of them anger me more than new touching tires. :uzi:

Truck only has 20K on it and had to put new tires on this fall, kick in the balls.

Effing potholes in Knox are out of control. While I was checking the one that damaged noticed another had a screw stuck in it, so ust got a whole set to keep them synced.

Cool individual moment for Prince but not a special
occurrence in Kentucky Basketball lore, IMO.

That UNC team was hot garbage and I LOATHED Team Turmoil with a burning passion.
I was a newsreader for the central KY radio for the blind and used to read the sports page of the LHL during Team Turmoil. Count your blessings that you didn’t have to re-read about them twice a week. Also, I could have used a lot less “Coach Mickie DeMoss” stories, tbh.

Think DeMoss has had an inappropriate relationship end every one of her job tenures.

I bought 4 tires from Amazon for under 300 delivered and had the Mexican shop mount and balance them for 80. Tires Plus can eat my ***.

Pretty crazy how the make and model of your car dictates that price, too.

Drive a Honda Accord? It’s like $400 to outfit all four brand new.

God forbid you have a sports car or SUV, though.

Story the Lexington media circled the wagons more on... DeMoss leaving or Gillispie player treatment?

On the way to Vday dinner Friday night my wife’s transmission went out. It was late enough there was nothing I could do until this morning, and it sounds like it’s going to cost $3800 for a new transmission and warranty.

The silver lining is I get to push Disney back until fall break now.

My transmission went out at 3am in BF Tennessee with a car full of young children on the way back from Destin. I forever and always win the “worst transmission story”. Never forget

do you guys remember when Patrick sparks hit those free throws to beat Louisville - that was dope

nick mingione is a nice guy and I hope he turns it around, but when he’s not wearing a hat he looks like a really good digital animation - you kinda get that uncanny valley vibe when you see him without a hat. With a hat he looks totally normal. Bizarre.

Had to replace all 4 on my Vette and cost me $2200. Granted, I knew the deal when I bought it but still made me want to throw up.

$3800 for a tranny???
Did you even check the prices on PartsGeek or any of a number of internet sites?
Was told $1200 for A/C unit and condenser for my Caddy. Got it all online and had someone install it all for $250.

Not to try to one-up you or anything but mine went out while the wife and I were 200 miles from home, on the way to 30A.

While we didn't have any kids with us, I should point out that:

1. The car had ~51,000 miles on it, and the powertrain warranty went up to 50,000 miles. That extra 1,000 miles cost me a smooth 5 G's.

2. Because we had no vehicle, we had to use rented bicycles and taxis (this was pre-Uber) to get around that weekend. That was cool.

3. The tow back to B'ham cost $4/mile, so I was able to tack on another $800 to my bill for that "vacation."

Good times.

Aaron Gordon is absolutely incredible, man. Lol at him not having won one.

For all the talk of the dunk contest being dead, there have been some damn good performances in recent years. I know people are partial to MJ/Nique, and obviously Vince's runway year..but it's hard to argue against the Gordon/Lavine duel being the best ever.

Those dunks were all absolutely insane, not sure how you even legitimately pick a winner in that one.

Stopped in to the County Clerks office (use the one on 29th and Broadway if you don't want to wait) to pay what I thought was my wife and stepdaughter's vehicle taxes that are due per the little card 3/31.

The clerk informed me that we had not paid the 2019 taxes for the two cars (we bought then in Dec 2019) so I had to get caught up. That was a kick in the balls. I had no idea. I took my postcard from her and paid the back taxes but there is no way I am giving them any money early now.

I thought the only people that still went to the clerks office were new residents and those that haven't discovered the intrawebs

Owning anything sucks and SAE making fun of MENGUS for renting is one of those takes that I'm growing to resent and disagree with more and more every day

The wife and I love our house and got it for an absolute steal at the bottom of the market... but I *KNOW* I was happier renting at Beaumont Farms where there was a pool, I didn't have to worry about repairs, etc.

If I were fresh out of college in a Lexington-size town, I probably would not buy a car. I'd bike to work and uber everywhere else. That has to be a lot cheaper.

The problem with the dunk contest is Wayyyy too many 10's. It is kind of hard to pick a winner in the end when there has been so many 10's, then a guy does an amazing dunk, well you can't give him 11. The 1st couple of rounds, judges have to save the 10's for something that is actually worth it.

Thanks for the insight. Nobody has ever thought of that before.

Both those dudes crushed the dunk contest but I think he pushed off on the Taco dunk making it thre least impressive of the final round. Still amazing he hit that high but Id give that round to Jones.

The dunk bbdk posted was the best dunk of the night though.
