Agreed. And Dywane Wade’s daughter being transgender and wanting to be called a pronoun instead of he/she is such sports worthy news. How we ever managed to get by without that type of sports journalism is beyond me...

ESPN has turned into the laughing stock of sports coverage and I, for one, hope their day comes where they are forced completely out of business. That day will never come since they are owned by Disney but still.
Did they talk about Wade's daughter being transgender during the game last night? I don't remember that.

I’m confused about Wade’s daughter being transgender. Is she a girl? like was she born a girl and now wants to be a boy? Or is it a boy that wants to be a girl and now we’re calling him Wade’s daughter? If you’re transgender you have to be called whatever you think you are and not what you actually are right? The whole thing just tangles me all up.

It was on the bottom scroller every time I looked down at it. They’ve had stories on ESPN (ESPC these days) about it too.
That is all it was....a scroll?? That would be at the bottom of my ESPN gripes list. The NBA is more popular than college basketball and Dwayne Wade was an NBA all star. I get why that story would be scrolling. Wade has been out there doing interviews about this topic trying to raise awareness....so it's not a story he's trying to hide from the public.
As long as it's not on a split screen while the Cats are playing or being discussed by announcers during a live action UK game, I couldn't care less if that story scrolls on the bottom of the screen.

BBN needs to do what they do best. Crash the ESPN email server with complaints about their broadcast product. Too many split screens, commentators wandering off topic during live action, coaches fashion statements getting more screen time than the game, missing live action to show some random camera shot, etc. I’m sure I’ve missed something but you guys get the idea.

1....2....3....GO!!!!

You think someone coming out as transgender is news worthy? It’s so completely irrelevant to sports or the world in general.

You get why they would be running a story about an ex NBA player’s he/she coming out as transgender on a sports channel? Lol. Welcome to 2020 everybody. Where the silent majority are labeled bigots and “insensitive” for speaking out against the lefts idiocy and being made to feel guilty for wanting sports channels to cover actual sports instead of worrying about transgenderism and hosting a fashion show during the middle of a basketball game. And no, Dwayne wade doesn’t need to be “raising awareness” about transgenderism. He needs to smack his kid in the mouth and get his *** out of Hollywood. For anyone to justify that this is sports worthy news is mind boggling to me. Que the “insensitive” posts in 3..2..1..

ESPN was all I watched in the 90s as a kid. Now it is a network full of complete hacks and hypocrites.

I applaud Jay Bilas, Bill Walton and Dan Dakich for calling out officiating to a degree. But most of these guys just sit here and defend the bs.

If more people on ESPN called out the nonsense in CBB. We might get some changes.

Not what I’m saying at all.....just focus on the ball game. That’s all.
don't argue with him...he rarely responds and the overwhelmly, vast majority of his posts try to show that he is the smartest, most ethical, and least prejudiced man in the room while passively aggressively putting down the OP and/or other responders in a thread,,,
that last unfounded jack-*** remark his finally put me over the edge to "ignore"...I would wager he has the most "ignores" of any posters

Must be cool to be a God sitting in judgement of all others and how they live their lives during their time here on Earth. Attitudes like yours are one of the reasons for the high suicide rate among that population. Wade is raising awareness because of that. I guess you must know that beating the transgender out of someone works so well since you experienced that right? You should write a book about it and go on ESPN with your own story.

CBS is vastly superior.

I actually like Fox basketball as well with their old NBA on NBC theme music....though we have sucked on Fox in recent years.

I'm guessing you're talking about Spam? That person reminds me of a person (Jeff Craddock...fake name BTW) that used to be on this site way back when it was called something else...15 years ago maybe? He/she would always lecture down to everyone else like a better than you professor...same M.O..

I agree, he/she is a flyby that 90% of the time comes on this board to lecture down at anyone that he/she disagrees with.

I’d stay off ESPN with it. I’ll try Fox News instead.

This thread is entertaining as hell watching people whine.[laughing] I'd love for some of you to experience what it was like to see maybe 6-10 UK games over the course of a season, all of them on Saturday as part of the TVS game of the week, and tune in just hoping the signal would be good enough to see who actually had the ball and if a shot went in or was missed. NCAAT? You didn't see much of that either, especially the opening rounds. I for one, am grateful for ESPN and their family of networks as they bring me an ungodly number of football, basketball and baseball games in glorious HD to watch every year.

JD...I agree with you regarding the amount of sports that we get to see...I just wish that eSpN could do it without the agenda that they like to shower on the viewers IMO.

All that **** goes in one ear and out the other for me. When I watch, I'm usually talking to myself, to Cal/Stoops/players as though they could hear me, or to my wife. :D

I remember my dad, brother and myself watching the big Houston vs UCLA game (Hayes v Alcindor), and having to switch to a little 10" black & white TV we had because it got a little bit better picture so we could see what was going on. Those were the days. :sunglasses:

Seems like every game the analyst spend the entire game plotting how the other team can beat UK (almost cheering them on). Never have I heard them give a compliment to our team about how good they were playing in the game.
