This summer:
1. Make friends at the resort's bar with the guy that rents the umbrellas.
2. Buy a bottle of bourbon and hand it to him when purchasing said umbrellas.
3. Find that you have a reserved spot on the beach for the next 5 days with a discounted price on umbrellas and chairs for 5
4. Sit in chair, drink a ton of cold boys from mid-morning until late afternoon; ear buds in listening to Siriusly Sinatra, 80s on 8 and Yacht Rock; relaxing and subtly checking out the baby dolls passing by.
5. Repeat for the next 5 days
6. ??
7. Profit.

I thought we were literally drawing the line in the sand these days?

In Seattle for work this week and am convinced pacific time is the way to go. Basketball on TV the second work ends and it’s over by a decent hour.

Get in early, slide out about 3:45 and watch the 4:00 (7:00) tip tonight over dinner. :fire:

I love PST. But it does make it very difficult to watch the CATS. Those 330 workday tips are brutal. It does feel like it is an island vs the rest of the US though, especially with regards to events in the EST. But I guess the same could be said for PST events in the EST. It’s just different. Super Bowl is at 330. Oscars are at 5.

Nothing's more selfish than GD beach volleyball enthusiasts.

Ouch.

YOU KNOW THIS ALREADY BUT FTR I play weeknights at Marikka's after I put my girls down so it's at little selfish as possible.

And when I'm on vacay I don't bother any of the straights, esp if they appear not so stressed.

If getting asked to play sand volleyball disgusts you just beat the piss out of them and shoot the damn ball. They’ll disperse and you have the beach to yourself.
Same with the damn time. Just have to get a bigger magazine.
Damn bunch of Snowflakes

Is “*****” becoming acceptable nomenclature? I mean, I heard that word a few times at the Oscars?

Just trying to keep up with PC.

I like bocce, but it’s not really the best on sandy beach imo.

Loving tossing beach football. Throwing bombs. Nice game of whiffle ball always fun too.

Ride Wave Runners or play volleyball in hot *** sand that you can't run in ? Hum, that is a tough one. Give me the wave runner equipped with a cup holder. But I can see people who enjoy digging itchy, grainy sand out of their *** picking option 2. I love playing basketball, but my *** is not doing it in a tropical environment. I want sun, water, waves, tunes, and all the alcohol I can tolerate and still function.

Kinda disturbed at the potential gun violence displayed here over a simple game of beach volleyball.

A wave runner for more than 15-30 minutes is pretty meh. I’ll take some volleyball, can jam or just a chair and a book depending on who all is going that day. Haven’t ever shot anyone over beach activities, thankfully.

Shiiit, you ever been in a simple dice game ? Any form of activity that has competitive dudes that may or may not have money riding on it can and sometimes does turn violent with a quickness. never witnessed or played a game on the beach though. Now that would be fun.

Dice games are completely for gambling, beach volleyball not so much.

Another great comparison, keep ‘em coming.

I have no problem with people not putting up carts if said person had to use a self checkout to make the purchase. If you have to self checkout you put that bad boy where TF you want. If they comb through your cart and scan the receipt you are free to leave it upside down in the middle of the road.

Is “*****” becoming acceptable nomenclature?

- Years ago, my wife was talking about some gay stuff and rattled off a list that ended with “or ******,” (in a PC way ((very)) ) - It really caught my dad off guard, mid-sip, and he did a stifled spit take with his Bud heavy.

- “Lesbiamus” is not acceptable, I know that. I use that in the comfort on my own home to annoy my wife, “Is she lesbiamus?” - Don’t know where I picked it up, but it always delivers.

Has Memorial always had secondary courts going across the main court? I’ve never noticed them before but tonight the extra lines are really obvious.
