I have more faith in Hagans leading us on a run than I do Maxey. Maxey is a reclassified freshman who should be in high school right now. Those guys tend to fade more down the stretch from the grind than normal freshman do. But hopefully I am wrong.

This team is just flawed in ways that you would not have expected coming into the season. It is what it is. No reason to harp on it, just kind of remarkable that we are almost halfway through the season and this team has such glaring weaknesses that don't look fixable by anything other than praying for us to hit shots from outside.

Still awesome to see them nut up and out-hustle the Dirty Birds. And if that is the third best team in America, maybe Kentucky is good by comparison to the competition.
Hagans is our best all around player but Maxey is the only guy that has the offensive upside to trigger a deep run. If we are being honest, we are only getting out of the second weekend if both those guys are playing their A game.

You can't trust another single player on this team to show up game to game.

It's all EJ's fault. We knew we needed him to make the leap his sophomore year and so far he has been a giant turd. Maybe some of the defensive plays he made Saturday is a life sign but I don't know.

IQ can and is coming along just fine. And if he plays defense like he did Saturday, he may be even more valuable. IQ has had a couple off games, but he has been more consistent than Maxey if we are being honest. I know he failed as a One and Done so he gets over looked, but IQ is solid.

No. IQ can’t create his own shot against elite competition or get to the rim.

Decent pull-up shooter and can attack a closeout. That’s about it.

It's early, but #Archie Twitter is getting good. Lol at their 11-1 start vs nobody.

Last night's loss vs Arkansas at home likely seals the deal as they have the Toughest Schedule in the country from here on out...dogs in 7 of their next 9 & 5 of the next 8 vs KenPom Top 10. :joy:

Mississippi state with an embarrassing effort...oh well congrats little brother. #517.

Excited/sad for Bowden’s last game as a wildcat. Hope he breaks it off in Tech. Wish I could be there.

I mean, a good guy with a gun is one thing. Smoking a moving target at 50 ft with a head shot within 6 seconds:gun::fire:

Sous vides beef short ribs for 48 hours. Happy New Year indeed.

- Christmas lights need to come down on either New Years Day, or the first Saturday thereafter. People who take them down the day after Christmas, or who wait for the end of liturgical Christmas (no one wants to see that **** on January 6th), need to re-evaluate.

- Always have been and always will be a real tree guy, but when I encounter the annual explosion of water and needles associated with getting rid of the tree while hungover on NYD, I *get* where the artificial people are coming from.

- Didn’t receive the annual missive from BBdK where he muses about how happy he is to work during the week between Christmas and New Years because the other people in his office will then gladly cover for him as he takes extry vacation time throughout the rest of the year. Sad.

- My 1.5 year old is on one hell of a gruesome biting spree at daycare. If we didn’t have two other kids there ($$$), I’m sure we would have been booted yesterday.

- Tomorrow will be one of two extremes. No middle ground. Either we run into the brick wall of a very good D coordinator who has had three weeks to prepare for a one dimensional offense, or the Legend of Lynn and the Big Blue Wall simply cannot be stopped, by anyone or anywhere. I’m going with the latter.

- The Reds are quietly putting together a contender. One more significant move will probably put us over the top. Please, Lord, let my summer be interesting again.

- Kids these days have it too easy with family Apple Music / Spotify memberships. No more riding bikes to the CD store to spend $5 on a used CD, and then riding back to whichever parents’ house has the fastest computer to burn four copies.

- Same goes for porn, I guess. I still have every issue of Playboy from January 2001 - December 2002 in the basement in a sealed moving box labeled “College papers.” Secretly hoping my oldest finds it when he’s like 15.

- Year end distribution tomorrow morning. Why I do this (and why I am miserable the remaining 364 days of the year).

- Happy New Year’s, Wildcat Internet Friends.

Are we allowed to cheer for the Cats tomorrow or do we treat this like a meaningless exhibition scrimmage?

  1. We need to punt the checker boards.
  2. Crispy White pants or jerseys to nail down any combo.
  3. Chrome is beat and played out too.
  4. Boil it down to slightly more than Penn State and I’ll be pleased
  5. All white, black shoes /Caudill smashing Ragone edition was the beat look evah
  6. will never happen
  7. (hell, I’d love to ditch Nike... be dope to be exclusive Puma school
Just to see Mitch rocking the low top suede Pumas would be worth it.

- Liked the alternating dark and light ten yard stripes originally, but it’s not aging well imo. Would like to see a lighter green with a Power K at the 50, one end zone with white diamonds spelling out KENTUCKY and the other one with blue diamonds spelling WILDCATS. Also never happen. I think we’re stuck with checkerboard until Mitch has his hush puppies kicked up in Branson.

-Going to keep my tree up until Candlemas just to spite Wynn now. Epiphany is the earliest tree take down date, pagans/heathens.

- Bowden goes off for 200 yards and 3 TDs on the ground and throws one as well
