Simple for me. I’ve always pulled for UK. Cal’s done well but he’s had the talent to do better. Would love to get #9 and hopefully we will sooner rather than later. If Cal stays so be it but when he leaves I’ll turn the page and continue to pull for the Cats. In ALL sports. GBB.

The only people that want Cal gone are bandwagon fans that expect a title every year or they stop watching. Real fans are with us through the ups and downs.
No other UK coach has recruited the talent he has so yes he should have had more titles this decade.

No but I would like to see Cal make some changes, UK is not getting the elite of the elite anymore, so his one and done model is not working like it used to, we have lost in the elite 8 the last two years to teams we should have beaten by 20, he has got to make some sort of change.
What is strange about it They are both professionals in their field and know more than me or you about their chosen field
I don't think anyone here is rationally trying to say that they know more about college basketball than Cal. That said, he has some flaws, and fans try to critique them. The real problem lies between the irrational fans that want him fired, and the fans that think he only ***** golden nuggets. The "never question Cal about anything" people. Thankfully, those two groups of people are just small exceptions.
I can b on board with that. I can question my Dr and get a second opinion also. I have advocated for an assistant to coach half court offense and play some zone myself. I agree irrational fans that want him gone, or don't want "constructive" criticism is too extreme in either direction
I would like to go back to winning the SEC reg and tourney 7 or 8 years out of 10. Not losing to Tennessee frequently. Seeing guys respect the tradition of Kentucky basketball and not just seeing it as a means to an end. It has always been that, but you see guys like Macy and Sky etc etc still hanging around the program and doing stuff. Youre not going to see that level of future involvement with these OADs. Cal needs to make changes in his approach. We have made the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 plenty enough throughout our history without having to mortgage our tradition to do it or playing unwatchable ball for 3 months. This is UK. We shouldnt be watching guys learn on the job. Players always have to improve during their time here but there is a marked difference between half your roster turning over v a few guys stepping up as upperclassmen while the unders develop in spot duty and work their way up.

I voted no, but Cal badly needs to rethink the way he builds his teams, and the non existent offense needs "tweaked", IMHO.

at least we know there are 44 people who are too dumb to live . LOL It might never be this consistently good again at UK . Lets love it while we have it . And I don't want to hear crap about the 40s or 50s as that was a different era . In modern basketball a coach is a program. The second Duke loses K they are in deep doo doo for a while . Same with UK . We went about 9 seasons ( from 2000-2009) being as mediocore as one could be ( 2003 was great so there was a small reprieve) . It will happen again but luckily Cal is here for 10-15 more years IMO .In that time he win another title or 2 and make 5-6 more final 4's . But we all know at this time of year what to expect . Hell next year we will be much worse at this time as we will have like 8 freshmen not 5-6 . But January then Febuary then March are become a beautiful thing and we still always beat UL and will tomorrow .
