I didn't know if people would say I had my blue-tinted glasses on, but I felt like the refs kept us at an arms-length every time we made a run. Sure I'm a diehard UK fan, but dam. Sestina goes up to make it a 1 point game and gets body checked and stuffed by the bottom of the rim and no call. But he taps a guy who had already lost the ball and they call a shooting foul with less than 1 second left on the shot clock? The guy in the backcourt at the end clearly walks and nothing. Every time we got within 1-3 points there was a whistle. They shot double the amount oof FTs we did. 3 times I saw a guy slide or drag his foot and nothing. Our guys would go inside and get hammered and nothing, but their bigs would get tapped and whistle. I thought it was one of the worse called games since UNCheat in the E8. Besides a few stupid shots, I thought we were up to the challenge and playing pretty well.
I would watch and we would make so many plays, it would feel like we were making 3 to 1 plays over them and I would look up and we would be down 4. Maybe it's me, if so ok. But I felt like the refs made about an 8 point difference. Not to mention the ball that bounces off the OHS player's head and no review OHS ball. I really felt like we would have gotten out to a 4-5 point lead, but every time we got close there was a call and a lot were bad. Just call it the same both ways. Don't let our guys get knocked around with the body and no call and then tap and a call. I thought we played well enough to win and I really feel like the refs were not going to let it happen.
