JC on WLEX tonight pleading with people to come to UK BASKETBALL games...WOW!!
Guess hell has frozen over.
Guess hell has frozen over.
Perhaps a restructure of prices might help too.Make early season matter again and people might show up.
When did early season ever matter?Make early season matter again and people might show up.

I’m surprised we are getting as good of a turnout as we are. Who the hell wants to pay today’s prices to basically watch a team practice for 3 - 4 months.
every single year since the NCAA started seeding teams in the NCAAT. We beat duke last year and we would of been a 1 seed and not of had to play auburn...... and Evansville this year will probably keep us from a 1 seed.
Some spirits would help. I wonder if UK is wondering if they made the right call on alcohol.
I don't care what anybody says , Dwight Yokum can act !
Probably the reason Calipari doesn't have Greg Brown visiting until January.Fans should showup cuz Kentucky do have recruits visiting even against crappy teams. Having alot of empty seats wouldn't be a good look.
I was talking 2021 and 2022 taking unofficial visitsProbably the reason Calipari doesn't have Greg Brown visiting until January.
By then, we'll be in the SEC hunt and the place will be packed once this team gets an identity.
I was gonna say! [roll]Yeah jeez what a shame if not for losing to Evansville we were going 30-0
That's why some want to sit on their couches and have an adult beverage and watch their High definition big *** TVs. Rupp isn't making a good case to keep selling out. Being able to drink a beer and watch your team is just one of many things they could do to make it better. Hell, having a beer at a sporting event is American. In the commonwealth of Kentucky you can't have beer or bourbon at a basketball game? What a travesty
You need to be lured in by a $9 beer? Some spirits would help. I wonder if UK is wondering if they made the right call on alcohol.

OMG he was the best EVER!!!!
When did early season ever matter?
Since Adolph Rupp became coach in 1930 and we became the all time winningest program. When did early season ever matter?
I like it like it is. Fans that do show up are positive and the negative fans like you stay home and complain. It makes for a much more enjoyable night for those of us that do attend.Make early season matter again and people might show up.
No but we have the second most NCs by winning the last game of the season. We didn’t become the All-Time college basketball wins leader by only winning games at the end of the season did we?

It used to matter years ago. I was still living in Lexington in the early '80's when UK played teams like Ohio State, Villanova, Illinois, Indiana (when they were good), etc. Also brought in teams Kentucky seldom played like Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, BYU and Pepperdine for the UKIT. Half the teams we're playing early were probably JUCOS back then. When did early season ever matter?

What are the prices for the Pacers?Big TVs have been around for 20+ years, HD has been around over a decade, beer sales have never been in Rupp and UL who does have beer sales has seen a dramatic drop in attendance too.
The prices and quality of the games is the real issue. I laugh when people say we can't afford an NBA team in Louisville because the ticket prices are too high. Ticket prices for upper arena seats are far more expensive for UK and UL than they are for the Indiana Pacers.
The cheapest standard ticket you can get from the Pacers is usually $11-$13. Lucas Oil Family Night specials are $15-$25 you get a ticket, voucher for a Chick Fil A meal, a Pacers hat, and get to go on the court and shoot a free throw after the game. The most a game will be is $50 for uppers when say AD, Lebron and the Lakers come to town. What are the prices for the Pacers?
