Dress Code:
- Been really into the Lululemon ABC pants lately; will probably wear those with a collared shirt and sweater (if cold).
- Daughters will wear dresses, although I have nothing to do with that. Besides, they prefer it.
- Wife will wear a nice skirt I assume and spend an hour getting ready
- Son will get dressed up (because of my wife), but he'll do his best to take his shirt off by dessert because he thinks he's the Incredible Hulk these days
Menu:
- Turkey roulade; looks classy but easier and quicker than a whole bird.
- Wife's family's stuffing is legendary
- All the regular other items are pretty ordinary, yet delicious
- Mac and Cheese for the kids and less sophisticated adults
So that's all pretty normal - what sets apart my Thanksgiving is the wine I procure. Really sets the tone and holds the meal together. I won't get into it all here, but for you Louisville guys, just go to Commonwealth Tap and tell Kenny that Wayne sent you and you want the Thanksgiving Special. If you can't make it over there, pick yourself up some Gewürztraminers and Oregon Pinots. Your minimum price point should be ~$20.
And for F's sake, drink the wine out of real wine glasses instead of little plastic cups.
