Why would Cal ask them for one last shot when it was Cades dad whom requested the trip?? Doesn’t make sense

The Dad's request is being reported, and I have seen these "reports from an unnamed source" before. I, too, think they are ready to lock him up, but I am just saying that everyone should not get too wrapped up in a commitment until we actually see one. We have all ridden that train, before.

We don’t know for SURE that it was dad’s request that Cal come see them. If it was then i definitely take it as good news. We don’t know what “liberties” the reporter of this story took before reporting it in this way

Sure, but it's a ginormous liberty to take. I can't imagine Loney being that...careless in making something up

You don't ask a coach to fly down to Florida unless you are giving him a verbal. If not this is extremely tilting

I disagree. Obviously, there’s interest, but I think there’s questions that the family wanted answered. They wanted to hear those questions answered in person, not over the phone. I doubt he committed last night.

My conspiracy theory lies right in the words. Cal thinks cade is commiting. That is either smoke screen or actually truth
What would happen if a recruit DID put a coach/program through all that only to say thanks but no thanks? Knowing that people love their 15 minutes of Fame and one-upping others, do the schools find a way to adapt?

Loney is a good dude who has worked really hard to get to where he is. This may not be correct, but he's not making things up.

It's the kind of scoop that makes you a legend. I hope for our sake that it's true and will gladly accept the peripheral fame he gets from it.
What's left of Mr. Loney on this board if he's wrong;

100%. people already penciling him into the lineup like they’re never followed recruiting at all.
It's also people who want to validate their 'fandom', to stave off criticism here on RR. They want to be 'liked'.

Look for an evening announcement on ESPN Wednesday, dream class is coming to fruition.

Now bring brown with him and Banchero and Kuminga! Cunningham alone puts our class with an Askew reclass at a new level, as 2-3 of those others and my word!
You know something, or just taking a guess?

I would be pissed if that happened. Would be a big low-ball move. Would a kid or his parents want that?

Look into "Multi Quote". It is your friend.

That's a great soap opera story. You could be a writer of some great fantasy novels. It's irrelevant. Apple and oranges. It's vindictive and cowardly. Probably why you were able to come up with it. Have a good night though, Yellowbelly.

Dude wth is your problem?

Tipton edits made the prediction in his story not an actual post.

I don’t know how to link his story.

Larry Vaught just retweeted this...no idea is this is legit or not

This is the same guy from that dumb Facebook group that guaranteed Kerry Blackshear to UK and then tried to say Blackshear committed on his visit and lied to Cal picking Florida.

If the Dad did truly request audience, I don't think it is to tell Cal no. If that were the case, they do it over the phone. But, I can see them asking them to answer a few last questions, to help them make a final decision. I also can see them telling the staff that they are leaning toward OSU and do they have anything to add. Then Cal flying the staff down there to make a final presentation. Like I said earlier, I take the visit as a positive, but I also do not believe that Cal would fly the entire staff down just for a commitment. Maybe to sign a LOI, but that is a couple of weeks away. I am hopeful that we get this kid, but I am not going all in, until I hear some more. I have had my hopes dashed too many times before.
