What you say makes sense. No doubt these kids have very tough decisions to make. I was responding to the post that makes it seem that Askew knows Cade -- when no one really thinks Cade is coming to UK -- is here, and he's okay with playing alongside Cade. That post seemed to assume we're putting together some historic class, when we're (going on the past since 2014-15) nowhere near as elite in recruiting as we used to be. I'm just jaded, that's all. I would love to be proved wrong.
You are a blatant troll POS. UK is about to sign a future NBA All-Star, and it terrifies you.

You couldn't be any more transparent.

Obviously ky is on cades mind. Look at previous events and chatter. The big picture. It aint over yet. No... But might be lol. Thats for the cunningham's to know. And decide when time is right to announce.
I'm sure there a number of schools on Cade's mind, and a TON of people in his ear. I would not want to be in his position. That said, he already knows where he's going, don't let a long, drawn out process make you think otherwise.

If it’s done he needs to go ahead and commit. Until then, we don’t have him.
If it happens the way I think the UK coaches hope it will:

G - Cunningham - Askew
G - Boston** - Askew - Allen
G - Clarke - Fletcher - Allen
F - Brown* - Ware
F - Banchero - Grad transfer (or Jackson)

* I also think there's a good chance someone like Brooks returns here.
** Assuming Quickley/Juzang develop enough to leave after this year

Askew as 6th man. He still gets 20 to 30 minutes/game as the top option off the bench.

UK can also go four out with Cunningham and Askew playing together. Askew shot 41+% from three on the AU circuit and shot 46% from three during the EYBL portion. You can play him off the ball and not lose a beat. If he returns for a second season, he's ready to run the show.

Good Lawd I would love to see that lineup in action.

Really hope we can reel him in. Cunningham, Clarke & Boston would be an elite trio as good as/if not better than the classes Cal was bringing in during his first few seasons here where it seemed like we were getting anyone we wanted.

You seem to forget that Cal was the only D1 HC doing this while the rest of the college coaches and media were saying it would destroy college basketball and you couldn’t win a NC recruiting that way. And later K discovered OAD recruiting and all was well again at ESPN. Plus please remember Cal has never had less then a #2 recruiting class while he’s been here. ;)

There are 3 requirements with every recruiting post Dave or any other insider so graciously shares:
1) At least one poster will ask for the sources of the said info
2) At least one poster will claim this info is old news and is already available somewhere else
3) At least one poster will ask why is the player waiting to commit

Dave, your info is always appreciated.
4) If Cade does decide to go elsewhere, at least 50 posters will claim that Dave said it was a done deal and forever trash his name

Wow I completely disagree! If the original plan was for your son to play hs next season then a year of college after that then ur basically trading ur senior year of hs for a year of college at uk. He is not a 6ft5 typical nba pg and I am not even. Sure he would project as a one and done even with out reclassifying so as a parent I could def see the benefit of a two and threw! Pretty sure Askew's dad is a former athlete that would def understand not just the development advantage but the branding advantage! Makes alot of sense actually and let's be honest Herro, and Shai did go one and done but they werent expecting to when they signed at KY. Truth is I think Cal has gotten another diamond in the rough in jujang and if he shoots over 40 from 3 this season I could see us losing him one and done. It's harder for pg tho! Shai had ridiculously length for a pg that helped him

Totally agree on Juzang. This kid has the will and skill to go after one. A workhorse.

He's like 17 or 18 and has a really good chance of making hundreds of millions of dollars.

I would have loved to be in that position when I was 17. Instead I was headed to UK for my freshman year where I consumed mass amounts of beer and played basketball 2-3 hours a day on the blue courts. LOL

Ha, that was tongue in cheek. Of course Askew will be coming, but he won't say exactly that tonight. He'll say I'm committing to Kentucky but will stay in the 2021 class, then decide if I want to move it up after my season is over.

We have a great shot at Banchero but I'm in a waiting pattern on him. He's visiting Duke tomorrow, then has more visits lined up....like Gonzaga in January. It could be that a CC commitment would energize him to put us in the lead, if we're not already. Going to be hard for him to reclass, will be hard on him. But he can do it if he wants.

I'm on my way to Ft Lauderdale for the weekend and won't have much net access. I will check in when I can. Keep the faith. Gonna happen.

Dave, then there was the Banchero secret silent that is now Banchero taking several more visits. Other examples abound with the recruitment of this class. Hard to take any of this too seriously.

Could you imagine a team with Cunningham, Askew, Brown and Banchero to go along with Clarke, Boston, Ware and Fletcher? Add to that 2 or 3 returning players like Allen, Brooks and maybe Juzang. Holy S%$&!! Just mail us the trophy.

That would be the most insane collection of talent we've seen in a long, long time. Maybe ever.

I like the thought of a second-year small ball Whitney or Brooks to play at the 4 spot alongside Brown or Banchero at the 5.

That team would run, run, run.

Exactly. Something tells me that it's not a done deal.

Cal needs to get Askew to commit, and then move on. Let Cade smoulder in what remains of the mystery. It seems most are saying Askew will come here, that would suggest he *wants* to be here.
We want you to quit posting. You are not intelligent enough about basketball to be on this board discussing recruiting.

And maybe all of Ca's "bucket list goals."

* seven players drafted (CC, Brown, Banchero, Clarke, Boston, Brooks, Askew)
* five freshmen starters lead the way to a national title
* 40-0

Yeah it's uphill stuff, but Cal dreams big. :D

Hey, i rather have a coach who dreams and try to go for it. Love to see 2015 again, but with different ending. :)

You have been wrong ever since you have been posting on this board. You must have a miserable life. You are jaded because Cal is recruiting a great class and it goes against all your negative posting.

Dave has said “I think we get him.” I don’t think it’s a strong stance either way. I think we get him too.

I won’t blast Dave if he doesn’t come. I also won’t be fist bumping him for calling it.

I appreciate the info. No more no less.

I will hide the comments down here where it's not a headline and I'm also voice texting so I don't know how in the hell it will come out that I learned today that the UK staff is very confident in landing both kuminga and brown but strangely enough not all that confident in who we thought the silent verbal was and that being bonchero
