They're giving a lot of credit to barbee for Cals heavy lifting lately IMO. He's cranked it to 100 since the Zion/RJ/Cam/Wiseman debacle.

Agreed you dont all of a sudden land 3 top 5 players in the same class ,he hasnt been able to land anybody and now hes riding cals coattails ! Which if cal wants to keep doing all the work that's on him but you would think he would get tired of it !

These "gurus" know he's almost certainly not picking a school until mid-November, which has been his stated timeline the entire way.

If CC came out and said he's choosing a school this Friday, for example, you'd see the "gurus" scurrying like rats to change picks to "undecided" and some would even start flipping to UK.

I don't think most of them have any real new insight outside of maybe ED. OSU is the default option and always has been.

In my view, it would be one of the greatest recruiting coups ever.

People can talk about Maxey's pops at SMU as a comparison, but Cade's brother was almost exclusively hired at OSU to land him. Pulling Cade out from beneath that type of machine is the stuff of historical significance.

If we get this kid, and I say this as a partial critic of some of our recruiting efforts in recent years - I don't think there's room for anyone to complain about Cal's recruiting. This would be the biggest moment in his recruiting career at UK.

It would be the recruiting equivalent to what UMBC did as a 16 seed against UVA, and that type of accomplishment - even for a coach as recruiting-savvy as Cal - deserves high praise.
