Diallo is Aberdeen with a better passing touch. You take this guy as PG1 if you can get him.

I don't like hearing this, he was our 4th option at PG in the portal. Hoping this is for a backup role and that it doesn't mean we struck out on the top 3 choices. I'd gladly take him as 2nd option PG and Mason Williams as the 3rd.
My guess is Mason will start season as third option. How is it Zoom is our 4th option?

Not sure what he's like defensively but if his 3 point numbers take another positive step forward he's an extremely valuable player. He fits the profile of guard all the best teams have.

Big guard that creates paint touches. Look at UConn, Duke, Illinois, Arizona. Michigan not so much at the point but they're big everywhere else.

Definitely more excited for Diallo than Dedan or Butler kid

If he can get to 37%+ from 3 then he will be lethal. Let's hope he can make that leap.

He's not a great shooter and isn't likely to turn into one. He has been coached by Danny Sprinkle at UW, so he hasn't learned or accomplished crap. For a guard he's strong but not super-quick. A willing passer. Not an especially smart player.

He aiight.

I believe it to be an either/or between him and Dedan whoever signs first. We have to get sharp shooting wings now.
UK has a couple of sharpshooting Wings currently in the fold in Chandler and Williams, right? Only both are still largely just spot up shooters on offense. I think Hawthorne is more of a 3-4 (or 4-3) but if pregame warm ups are any indication he can also shoot it well.

I prefer UK getting a much more dynamic scorer at 2G or SF than Chandler or Williams. I think one of those two is fine in the starting lineup but not both. Have you got any information on the top scoring 2Gs on UK’s wish list?

Chandler isn't a wing IMO and he needs to be coming off the bench as a scoring spark for us to be at the level we need to be. I'm okay with Kam starting if we have the right people around him.

Just a quick Google search about Zoom Diallo and Tyran Stokes being good friends:

Yes, Zoom Diallo and Tyran Stokes are known to be good friends and developed a close bond while playing together at Prolific Prep.

  • Teammates at Prolific Prep: The two played together at Prolific Prep in California, where they formed part of a highly talented roster.
  • Strong Connection: Reports indicate they have great chemistry and are close friends.
  • "Best Duo" Potential: Stokes described their pairing as "probably the best duo in the country" during their time at Prolific Prep.

Interesting. If we need to go that route to land Stokes, so be it. Just make sure you have him locked up before letting this dude sign.

Doesn't seem too quick
Like vanterpool much better as well as the guy from Utah
The guards have to be scoring threats as well
Need scoring from all positions

Similar to Butler would be a nice addition. Butler was a good strong pg and his shooting improved with us. Butler was having his best season with us before the injury bug bit him.
Been playing high level hoops for 6 years including Mr Washington his Jr year.
Big 10 tough PG
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MacAA - Nike Summit player.
He fits at Kentucky

Deja Vu? Striking out on first two or three options seems familiar

Solid player, but the people here ejaculating over the 6th ranked transfer PG (so far) is just sad. Someone said he's like Aberdeen, as if Denzel Aberdeen being the standard for UK basketball is a good thing. Just sad.

Do you really believe that any of the PG's in the top 10 are head and shoulders above the rest?
Johnson at #1 is not on any mock drafts that I've seen and he's a freshman.

A UK level staff would have landed Rippey or Kinney and use the portal for a kid like the Wisconsin G and some snipers (e.g Brea, or Hawkins on the last Uconn title team). It's just going to be a re run of this year, why would anyone be excited about that?

Pope is going to be here no matter what. Might as well try and get excited about new players and new opportunities. What’s so bad about that?

IDK, I can't get excited over mediocrity. I enjoy good basketball with high level players.

I'm glad you're able to feel differently -- I really mean that. I don't want to be apathetic, but it's just what it is.
