43 minutes played in a game. Might have 1 guy that doesn’t fatigue!

Here we go! What ya haters got to say now?
Are you serious?

We have six players on the roster for next year, with three of those being Potter, Hawthorne and Noah. Diallo is a nice piece, but he's a 4th option on a Final Four team.

Also, there is no hating. Just a bunch of passionate UK fans who know Mark Pope is not the man for the job.

I’m always gonna root for a guy who wants to play for my Cats. Welcome Zoom.
The interviews I had watched last week to get a better feel for his personality all were very positive. Good speaker and seems like a good dude. Should be easy to root for from that perspective which I always appreciate. (Separate from him as a player)

Diallo does absolutely nothing for me. He is not a star and is not even as good as Aberdeen was. He's a fine 4th or 5th option.

Aberdeen: ORtg = 121.3, DRtg = 114.4 (+6.9 points per 100 possessions), OWS = 2.6, DWS = 0.9
Diallo: ORtg = 114.7, DRtg = 112.5 (+2.2 points), OWS = 2.3, DWS = 0.9
I actually think he’s going to be better, the eye test looks good. He looks to be quicker with the ball in his hands. DA at times looked uncoordinated and slow.

I’m glad we got him as opposed to the alternative of striking out and having to scour the portal for plan C at point guard. How much he actually moves the needle remains to be seen. If we can get a couple more players like Stokes and Freeman who can be our go to scoring options that he just needs to distribute the ball to, I think he can succeed in that role. If we miss on them and end up needing Zoom to do more of the heavy lifting, I’m considerably less optimistic.

Hooray. Another brick layer. I’d love to know his nil offer Saturday vs today.
He’s a terrible fit for Pope’s system. Unless he has some seriously skilled guys waiting to sign, next year’s team won’t look much different than this year, IMO. Diallo isn’t a bad player. But, he’s the antithesis of what a PG should be in Pope’s offense. I can’t even pretend to be happy about this. He’s a really nice piece in the right system, surrounded by the right players. But, he’s just gonna be a liability here. If our 2,3 & 4 aren’t knockdown shooters next year is gonna be ugly af.

I'll take a team full of almost Aberdeens at this point given how things are going

I feel the exact same. This is the same as Diaboute last year. He’s a good player but he has to be surrounded by shooting. Mo wasn’t and I’m not seeing anything to think Zoom will be either. This is just last portal season all over again striking out on plan A and B and then having to (id bet money) overpay on plan C.

He’s definitely not the guy I wanted. Doesn’t strike as a pure point guard. His teams don’t win (despite pretty good talent). And I doubt that he’s an upgrade from Aberdeen.

But I am glad that finally got SOMEBODY from this portal so …hooray??
