When I saw film of him in high school, what I saw was a fat and not so very athletic player that could dunk, good but not great. The transformation he went through was truly amazing until the Michigan State game when he ran out of gas in the second half and more resembled his HS days. If he doesn't correct that, I don't think we'll see the superstar that a lot of folks think they were expecting. He'll still make a lot of money with a #1 pick paycheck and endorsements but his star may not shine long. Thoughts?

It's like when I went to the Pacific shore, I saw a salty but not so big body of water. It is what it is people.

You would have seen what a crush is if he had chose UK, but in all fairness to Zion he chose the right school he wouldn't have had all those segments on ESPN and the exposure he received had he came here.

I think K misused him and Bagley, no FFs.

I’m glad someone has brought this up. It has been maybe 5 mins that didn’t have a thread pertaining to puke or one of their players. You’re reaching op. He’s a stud. He will get better, and train harder once he’s a pro. Downplaying him doesn’t help. Had he gone to Kentucky we would be celebrating him as 1b behind Anthony Davis and that’s without a championship. Could he of been tired? Sure. He wasn’t going to come out of the biggest game of his life to date. He’s going to be good there is no denying that.

"You’re reaching op"
Maybe a tad.

Don't know who was in the film you were watching, but I remember reading articles about his physical dominance on the AAU circuit a few years ago.

Would have been in foul trouble a lot more at UK too. Not even sure he had but one or two games he ever reached 4 fouls in and had many with 1 or none.

With how physical he plays too. He would've had 14 fouls if he was in a Reid Travis jersey vs the Vols in Nashville.

Zion was an animal in high school and the same animal in college. He didn't wear down at the end of the MSU game, in the last 3 minutes he had a steal, 2 rebounds, and their only basket, coach K not being able to control selfish RJ Barrett is why they lost. He took the last 4 shots and went 0-3 and got fouled on the 4th and went 1-2 at the line. If Zion gets one shot out of the 4 Duke wins. That's what where K should be getting lambasted.

How anyone could call him fat at any point in his life is laughable. Kid wasnt built like a tank like he is now but he was never fat.

I am just glad he is gone from college sports. His presence ruined it because of the ESPN hype.

Zion gave up a shot at the end. It looked like he didn’t want the ball. Perhaps the moment was too big for him?

Look, all I said was from the films I saw of him. Crap, I don't sniff out every little fact or clue about recruits. Even Cal said, "I knew he was going to be good but not that good". Anything said about a recruit is an opinion or speculation. Zion may blow up and be another LeBron but I don't think so.
