When you think about it, every single player in this game is viewed as better than just about any other similar aged kid. Now, there are other great players who are not even recognized by these leagues, AAU's, or McDonald's AA's. Nevertheless, each Maker and others who didn't impress are still some of the top players at the moment. So, really landing any of them would be a nice accomplishment.

P.S. I remember several of you who last year talked about not really being that impressed by Okafor despite how he played. I may have been one of them. How did that assessment turn out?

I was really impressed with Zimmerman's game today and I do hope that Cal gets him to go along with Skai next year. He is athletic and he is like Skai and can step out and make the 15 footer. He and Skai both have nice touch on their outside shots for 7 footers. Remember, he only played 16 minutes like Newman and Brown had today. I thought we would have seen more of Newman after coming in and draining those two 3's from NBA 3 point range. Those two 3's had the U.S. back in the game and had cut the score down to 6-8 points with those two 3's. He also had an impressive drive to the basket. Newman can do it all. I just wish Newman, Brown, and Zimmerman would have played more than 16 minutes. I know the Head Coach for the U.S. is from St. Edwards in Northern, Ohio close to where Kennard lives so that is probably why everytime I looked up Luke Kennard was in the game today. He seemed to be trying to showcase Luke Kennard more than the other boys like Newman, Brown, Briscoe, etc. today.

Some of you are just straight a*#holes. I swear some of you make this board so miserable sometimes. Its a damn shame cause there are some really good posters on here that provide some great insight but its ruined by the tools that think they know everything. I didn't say he wasn't going to be good, I didnt say he sucked, and I didn't say I wouldn't love to have him. I just said from what I saw of him, I wasn't greatly impressed TODAY and I thought he got pushed around. No matter how some of you try to spin it and try to turn it around into something, thats all i said! What's so bad about that? I've seen him other times and have been very impressed on some of those occasions. So, relax guys!! I'm not bashing the kid. I want the kid in blue. If you want to argue, go over to another teams board. I'm sure they'll argue with you all day but some of you should realize that we are not enemies on this board. You pounce when someone posts something you don't agree with or something you don't like. I can understand people getting upset with trolls trying to cause problems but some of you snap at anything! Its gotten ridiculous!! If you wanna be an a#*hole, go somewhere else and leave this board for the people who want to have good discussions about our team.
Gee, feeling a little thin-skinned today? You know, all that poster you responded to said was that you "had no idea" what you were talking about, he did not rant, name call and get personal like you just did. Think maybe you overreacted just a wee bit? Only person I see arguably getting out of line in this exchange is you.

Wasn't personal? "YOU have no clue what YOU are talking about". Is that not personal? Cause anytime the word You or OP was posted, they weren't talking in general talk I can tell you that. I think my reaction wasnt just about this thread but a build up over the last week of what seems like the same posters just being an ***. No other way to put it. Some laugh and call you clueless if you don't have same opinion as them. I could see being bashed if I came on here and said the kid sucked and could not play at this level. I have reacted negatively on some OP who have posted threads that were not constructive and just meant to anger but I didn't say anything of the sort. I know he is skilled and I know his skills well as I've watched him play many times. I know what he can do and what I think he needs to work on to be elite at the next level. That's not a knock on the kid cause everyone of those players need to work on things.
Disagree with me is fine, I even welcome it cause its cool to have adult discussions on here. But for guys to get on here and say I don't know what I'm talking about and Zimmerman can do this and that and is awesome and blah blah blah is frustrating. They should go back and read what I said. I don't usually start post because of this very reason. Some take what you say and twist it so that they can act like they know so much more. Its not a contest. I don't care if others know more about a kid than me. That's great! Maybe they can teach me a bit more about that kid.
As far as Zimmerman, I was simply stating what I witnessed TODAY. And maybe I didn't see some of the other plays that some are talking referring to here. That is quite possible as I was working on some other things as I watched. Its all irrelevant cause its the way people react that frustrating. Post something that asks what I thought about a certain.play or ask why I wasn't too impressed or say that disagree and you were impressed but why say......"LOL @ the OP* or "you are clueless OP* or *you have no clue what you're talking about* ? Its just unnecessary and also ridiculous and is getting so old coming from the same people everyday. It is what it is I guess. Some people can hide behind a computer and act all mighty ams that will probably never change on here.
I agree with you Cats Freak. They jumped on you man like a pack of hungry dogs.Ripping and tearing at every word you said. These bloodthirsty scavengers need to step back from the computer and learn to chill.

I would love Zimmerman to be a Cat. He has really good skill for a guy that big. Briscoe played well until I seen him shoot free throws. I really like Ingram, he has a really nice shot. I've always wanted Newman Lexington. By the way besides being from the same state, Kennard is from Franklin which is between Cincinnati and Dayton. St. Eds is in Cleveland about 4 hours drive away.

The commentators basically kept saying how weak this class was overall and how their were so few who could be one and done. I agree

One game. I guess that makes it official.
Did you skip the sentence that says 1 game is no indication of anything? Did you not see that one? Just curious

LOL @ this guy. Typical response. That's quite funny if you actually knew me. But you don't, so it just looks foolish.

But Im sorry Mr. Iknoweverything, Mr. "Mark it down!" Only lesson learned was what a tool you are. Well, we all actually learned that lesson a good while ago. You really are the one who needs to learn a lesson.

UKCATSFREAK, it's all good young man. I get what you're opinion was and understand you still liked the recruit. Obviously, others disagreed and were just having a little fun with it. I gotta admit, some of the responses made me smile. Don't let this place get to you.

Actually liked what I saw from Zimmerman. Wiltjer with actual foot speed? That is a bad comp probably but it was my first thought. In any case I would l would love to have him on the team.

On a different note, that Simmons kid is a problem. Very strong and mobile.

And made an unassisted fast break from defensive rebound to score dribbling under presur &, finishing well. Looked smooth, like Willie.

My sentiments exactly. What I liked about Zimmerman is he is a basketball player. If we get him AND Ingram we will be very good.
You must not have seen Jaylen Brown!

None of our 5 star recruits will ever be 3 year Ayer unless an injury hAppens. Most of our 4 stars will try to leave or test the waters after the first year. Wouldn't have it any other way.
