RB’s never age gracefully. Look at Gurley and Lev Bell as recent examples. You may see Dallas trade him before the deadline…but he’ll still put up at least some numbers here and there if he sticks around. The decline started in earnest last year….sharp drop offs in YPC and general production. And before anyone says “but but Andy Dalton and all the backup QB’s!”, go look at what James Robinson did last year with some of the most putrid QB play (and general supporting cast) in the league

^^^ got no idea what this is about cause I don't keep up with player contracts but I agree with 11th......Zeke has regressed significantly and quickly over the last couple of years.

Zeke was a 1st rounder, means you get him for 5 years as opposed to 4 years from all other rounds. Jerry still had Zeke for 2 years on the cheap. Paid him after 3, didn’t pay his franchise QB after 3 or 4 years, when he would have easily took 2/3’ers of what he ended up costing.

Zeke looks good this season. That defensive front 7 is unbelievable. Watch next week. Zeke will murder the chargers. Add Zac Martin back and put a normal front 7 in and Zeke will go for 90+ and 2 TD's. Tampa Bay has the best front 7 in the NFL. Zeke looked sharp. The Cowboys lost because of the kicker and a missed opi call at the end of the game..

Zeke was a beast in pass pro. He's not going to be very good in a few years, but he will be legit this season.

losing 4 starting lineman due to injury last season doesn't factor in to his decline last year?

I’m sure part of his game was affected from the lost lineman, but anyone that watched years 3-4-5 could see that he never hit the holes(don’t let me down Pack) with the same gusto he did his first two years. He also knocked fewer tacklers back on hits nor ran away from LBer’s the way he did early on. It’s not a coincidence that literally every talking head has raved about about him being in the best shape of his career. The boy got fat.

I agree completely with this take. Thanks for saving me the trouble of writing it less clearly.

Also, it appears Zeke's species transition to an Ewok is progressing nicely.
