Disagree. Tons of banging and hacking that should have been called but wasn't. One occasion there was Nick bumped an Auburn player causing the Auburn player to lose the ball out of bounds. No one else within 10 feet of the ball. Either a foul on Nick or the ball to Ky. They call no foul but give it to Auburn.
Call the darned game the way rules call. Don't watch the game like a spectator. Simply focus on the hacking, bumping, etc.. and call it. Don't consider how it impacts a play or how you think it might impact the play. Blow the whistle immediately and call the fouls.
The only way to bring consistency back to the game is to call it by the book. Players will adjust.

“Disagree”- I get what you are saying, they let some head scratchers go today, but from what I saw, they called many more ticky tack fouls that should have been play ons. If they had called the head scratchers too, we’d still be waiting for the buzzer. They’re gonna have to allow 3 hours instead of 2 for tv if this keeps up,

The only way to have consistency is to have a common standard. Too often it seems the refs are doing too much thinking instead of reacting. When you see contact, a hack, etc...blow the whistle. Don't think about the implications. Doesn't matter how much time is on the clock. Make the call by the book. Players will adapt and you'll eventually have a much cleaner and more enjoyable game.

I'm just glad we are getting to the point of where we can overcome the 8 vs. 5 that we're up against every game. I was wrong when I thought this team wasn't talented enough fo be able to do that!

Don’t forget Auburn shot 44 free throws at home so UK should have an advantage playing at home

I feel like somehow someway Higgins has something to do with it.

Hate that dude. If he was on fire I'd piss on his shoes and nothing else.

I think there’s a lot of truth in this statement. Ref occupation is no different than other occupations, some of your best friends up being your co-workers. I’m sure Higgins has some friends in the profession who take joy in calling our games.

The issue i see is they are so inconsistent. Too many times they are calling the foul before the play happens (the "and 1" layups are the best example, its like they have already made up their mind on what theyre calling at mid court). Also, they let the players bang away but then call a touch foul on a post play. Bizarre. I thought hand checking was a POE this year?

Remember the time Richards got elbowed in the face and they called the foul on him?

There's no way to defend this type of officiating. It's quite literally ruining the game....remember how frustrated we'd used to get when teams knew they couldn't beat us and turned it into a hackfest? It's every game now because of how the game is called. It's not just against us, I think we get the worst of it but there's terrible calls both games and unfortunately the ONLY thing consistent about the officiating is that there is no consistency. It's awful in so many different ways.

These guys have GOT to be held accountable for how they do their jobs. Still can't believe there was not a bigger national fuss about how bad the game was called against UNC in the tourney a few years ago.

Unwatchable, which us a real shame because these are two teams that could have put on a good show if they had been allowed to do so.
It is unwatchable. Becoming more and more like the NBA where's there's literally a foul every trip down the court.

Is Auburn and the fat cheetoh becoming the Duke of the south with friendly whistles to make them seem legitimate? Or is it only against UK?
