That was the issue in the earLy signing period but is said to have straightened it out....held a ceremony today, Re-affirmed his committment but did not sign...
Only supporting evidence for this is that he hasn't reportedly signed with anyone else. So it doesn't appear that he flipped to another program, he apparently hasn't signed anywhere.
If you mean the Kratch article it's a little unclear but I don't think he's referring to a ceremony that happened today.
Additionally, Barringer quarterback Zamar Wise also re-affirmed his commitment to Rutgers with a ceremony at his school, but did not send Rutgers a signed NLI, according to the individuals.

If a school accepts a LOI from a recruit that does not qualify, that constitutes a “counter” by NCAA bylaws. So the academic risk for the school is significant with a potential non-qualifier. If you want to delve into the details, the 428 page NCAA bylaws get into the complexities and nuances of red shirt, blue shirt, gray shirt, green shirt, what constitutes “recruiting” as it impacts the 85/25 “rule” etc.
Man, a 2.0 from public school? Don't you get that for attending class?
And who is he? Do you personally know him? Like I said he signed so if he did not want to be at RU he would have never signed the LOI.

Maybe someone out there remembers--who was the player from a Newark high school we were recruiting and someone at his school gave him the wrong information about required classes for college. I think it was within the last two years.
