YoutubeTV is negotiating with Fox and the deadline is tomorrow. If they don't come to an agreement, no Fox channels on YoutubeTV and no Nebraska v Cincy on Thursday. You'll need to get FoxNow if you don't have local broadcasting.

WTF! just when I was making the switch and getting rid of DirectTV... This is the reason I've always been hesitant to get rid of it as I don't want to miss a game

If negotiations fall through, I'm thankful I have one of those FireSticks that gets everything and I mean everything.
I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t get one of these. My service is like 60$ and there’s not a game on planet earth I don’t get

Not everyone wants to sail the high seas for various reasons. Not condoning it, but between people not wanting to do that, and probably a larger number not understanding a single word you said, that's the majority of people.

There’s underground cable service that gets you literally every channel in the US and pay per view.
So how does one find this underground offering? Is it technically legal to use without paying? What’s the catch with it?

Find a guy that offers it. If you ask enough someone will help you.

it’s probably very illegal to deal this out but you purchasing it isn’t going to get you in trouble

no catch. I’ve had it for 3 years now and would never consider anything else. Finding someone who offers the service in your area will be the toughest task.

some are based out of custom cable boxes while mine is called “tweak tv” and it’s on an hd firestick. It also comes with a movie service and I’ll have movies out in theaters. You need to have good Wi-Fi as it demands good internet speeds, especially if multiple sticks are being watched at the same time.

The "free ones" are not bad, sometimes you run into some issues with the speed or lag and sometimes things just disappear. But if you don't mind that, it is a great deal.

Amazing timing with Fox releasing its new streaming service. I’m sure they are hoping to stall negotiations so more people will subscribe to Fox One for games.

So, if my family doesn't watch regular TV anyway, is there any reason why I wouldn't just be subscribing to the fox/ESPN bundle then peacock and Paramount plus?

Seems like all the app only games would be covered then and it's cheaper?

Cfb and NFL. Occasionally NU basketball.

Seems like it would be cheaper, I would get the games like next Fridays peacock game, and my kids would get extra movies on Paramount and Peacock.

What am I missing?

Seems like these pissing matches between YouTube TV and larger channels is happening like every year now. I personally really like the Youtube TV platform. I am a channel flipper, so I can't really do the app thing, plus the quad box for games on YTT is tits. I have a big TV in the garage and then a smaller on on the side too, so big game on the big TV and quad box on the smaller one.

And this set up is soooooo doable now.

You can get an 80 inch TV for 600 dollars and some 40inchers for 300. That entire setup can be done for under 1500 dollars now.

Yeah, it's great running multiple games at the same time. I have 4 monitors going during any saturday.

ESPN Ultimate (ESPN channels, ACC, SEC) - 30$/month
Fox One (Fox, FS1, FS2, Big 10) - 20$/month
Paramount Plus Premium (CBS games) - 13$/month

63$ vs 90$+

You need Peacock for SNF, which is $8, but I see no reason to get premium paramount. The fox ESPN bundle starts October 2nd and knocks $10 off.

I read that you needed premium paramount but if not, knock 7$ off the total. I have Peacock for 3$/month for the next 6 months.

ESPN FOX bundle will be the way I go come time. I don't watch TV for anything other than sports.

You sound as if you are on Seinfeld and the Russian guy installing illegal cable. It is so vague that sounds like a sitcom about nothing.

Because if everyone had one the entire industry would collapse?

But don't worry. The adults will subsidize your freeloading.
Wait, you pay more for your TV service so that you can make up for the others that get it cheaper?

That is kind of nice.
