I really don’t have any superstitions before the game. It’s when the game is going that it happens. I’ve made my wife change shirts before and also made her leave the room if we are playing well then she sits to watch it and then start playing poorly. She would watch from a different room. Just to be clear I didn’t make her leave but asked her to leave the room. And I totally explained it was her fault why we were playing poorly. Lol.

Never the same shirt but I have gone the entire month of March-April before wearing Kentucky Blue T-Shirts during Madness time until they are out or win it all. Nothing else really.

You wouldn’t wear UK blue? Am I reading that right?

I used to think that outcomes were dependent on my watching the game. That the players needed the support of television viewers. Obviously very delusional thinking 😅.

I now believe that if I close the game before it's over, then there's a fifty fifty chance I won't know the outcome. Something about a cat in a box. 😸

I always wear the same hat, if we are down I immediately go downstairs and don’t watch until the game is in hand.

Not a superstition but I don’t watch with other people. And if I do happen to (extremely rare event but sometimes necessary) you better know the damn game and root for the good guys.

Now we know whose fault it was!

I go to the dish cabinet where my wife have multiple color plates. Red, white, yellow, green, blue, blue and white checkers. I make sure Red is at the bottom of the stack, followed by green and yellow. Then I stagger the blue/white/checkered plates. Odd one I know.

My wife has a UT hat and I make sure I cannot see it on game day. My LSU hat I wear typically the day of an LSU game but change to UK before game time (odd again).

I have UT orange undies that I make sure are at the bottom of the stack on UT Game days. lol

If the Cats are down, but a comeback is ongoing, I don't move from the position I'm in until the game is in hand.

Will not wear a new UK shirt during the season. Have the same seat in the house which is in the floor in front of the tv.

Annoyances during the season: Watching games with people. I will kick people out of the room if they talk or ask questions about the game.

Same. I will not wear UK gear during a season UNLESS I start with the first game AND it's a win.

Beer cheese from the bar down the street, Ritz crackers for the cheese and a two liter of Mt. Dew. Every game since 1985.

I once had a magic hat. That magic hat took us far in 1995 then I threw it 2 min into the UNC game which I had done 50 times that season. The clip busted and I knew we would lose. I also changed shirts in 2015 after we made the final four. I bought on in Cleveland and decided to wear that against Wisconsin. I’m sorry bbn

Do you wear the same shirt? Sit in the same chair every game? Eat the same food? Let's hear em.
I have been known to "coach" the team from the comfort of my living room. Somehow they can really hear me. At times I'm a great motivator.

Coach Rupp believed if he found a hair pin the day of a game it was good luck
When I got to UK in 1969 as head manager
Hair pins were out of style Bill Keightley sent me to Woolworth to buy hair pins
I always walked Adolph over to Memorial Colosium and scattered hair pins on
Sidewalk
I made sure Rupp found them he was happy
As could be

The last few years have been a blur, I try to get my mind and body relaxed before the game. If we are playing well I watch the second half. If I have that bad feeling I usually burn another small blue candle (made of paper) and read about it the next day.

I watch the game. If we win, great. If we lose, better luck next time. Has nothing to do with anything anyone does except the players and coach.

I usually wear the same shirt/sweatshirt on gameday each game we win until we lose a game. Then I switch shirts to start a new streak and wear it until we might get another loss. Rinse and repeat.
