NC has great baseball. I would like to point Manieri to the state and remind him to go get some of those guys. Huge population. The state contributes to all the many D1-D3 to Juco and NAIA programs with good to great players. This is an example of having baseball players wanting to compete but with less hype. this is true as I watched it in person, they pulled off one the best special teams trick plays I have ever seen, although with a change in the rules, that could no longer be duplicated.
