I just don't know how a committee has 3 guys out of 10 with ties to one school... and that school just so happens to land in a cushy spot.

Indiana loses in their conference tournament = punished severely for the loss.
Duke loses in their conference tournamanet = move them up
Kentucky wins their conference tournament = no effect whatsoever

Just makes no sense.

Am I missing something? You guys don't seem to like the team from Durham: Trinity College. Original name until tobacco tycoon Duke donated a boatload of cash on them.

The NCAA needs to take all human factors out of the selection process. You still get the 36 auto bids then the other 32 are decided by a aggregate of several computer rankings. Take the 10-15 most reputable ones.

Then just rank the teams 1-68. Don't worry about conference matchups, games already played that season etc. 61 vs 68 winner plays 4. 62 vs 67 winner plays 3. 63 vs 66 winner plays 2. 64 vs 65 winner plays 1.

Then:

1 vs. 64/65
2 vs. 63/66
3 vs. 62/67
4 vs. 61/68
5 vs. 60
6 vs. 59
7 vs. 58

etc etc etc
