The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) postponed Tuesday's scheduled talks on how to safely reopen classrooms despite an ongoing lawsuit by the City Attorney’s Office, opting instead to work on renaming 44 of the city’s public schools.

City Attorney Dennis Herrera sued the San Francisco Board of Education and the SFUSD earlier this month for failing to devise a plan to get San Francisco’s 54,000 public school children back in the classroom.

But instead, the Board of Education focused on renaming 44 schools they believed were offensive for their representation of "White supremacy."

Schools named after historical and currently prominent figures like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Dianne Feinstein have been slated for the chopping block for their connections to slavery, genocide and colonization.

We are literally in a Global pandemic where students are going without food in some cases and a lack of in school learning. Not to mention all the psychological issues that are going to come from this event decades down the road. San Francisco needs to combat what is in front of them and actually help instead of virtual signal from what happened 200 years ago. I mean that is some low hanging fruit that is going to cost tax payers a ton and really doesn’t do anything to combat racism or anything like that. I worry about these innocent kids and the lack of leadership in some areas of this Country

The Clark County Comission has voted to change the name of Las Vegas’ airport from McCarran Airport to Harry Reid Airport due to racist and anti-Semitic statements made by former Sen. McCarran

This is estimated to cost $2 million
