I've been tracking this. It's been pushing northwestern, counterclockwise. Southern and Eastern Kentucky look to be screwed out of a big snow. I think that's the high they were talking about that is stalling things. I feel bad for the people in Nashville who were obviously very excited.

Weather should be a UK Sport. Maybe a storm chasing team in the Spring. Who's in?
Sounds fun.

But don't let Mitch hear about it. He will take UK basketball's NIL by half to fund this endeavor

How are we feeling? I think we will get more snow in Hart County and not much freezing rain. Certainly hoping for that.

7-13" of snow projected. Apple app still has us 18-22".

Can hear the commentary now...

"Tom, would you believe this is his first time storm chasing for the Wildcats, and man does he look good."

"Yes, he does, but if that funnel cloud changes direction at the wrong time, it wont matter if he's a 5 star. ...Oh look out!! It's done just that!"

"Skillfull maneuvering there though, Tom. He wont be getting sucked anytime soon."

"Whoa, Touchdown, Kentucky!"

"Yep, thats the 4th starter we've lost this tornado season. Maybe we could get Jim Cantori from the Category F league? Tom, what do you think?"

"Would you trust a guy that did a live shot from a ditch acting like the place was flooded, or would you expect him to take the truck while an F5 is bearing down on you?"

"Good point.."

Doesn’t seem like where I am we will get the worst of it. I’m just south of Louisville. That said, look at the temperatures for the week following this thing. Whatever falls isn’t going to melt for at least a week. No highs above 30 and multiple lows below 0.
Where at? I'm in Shepherdsville.

Bluegrass airport is still up snd functional for now. Let’s see if I can get to South America before the weather catches me.

I went to Liquor Barn Wednesday so I am good.
Seriously, fridge is full and I can work from home all week if the roads are bad. Bring it on.
Yea definitely easier on the folks that can work from home. I probably will most of the week. I’m hoping the roads will be clear my late Monday or early Tuesday even if the rest of this **** doesn’t melt until next week.

Media meteorologists annoy me no end. I haven't watched local weather at all this week. I bet Tony Cavalier is dancing around like he has a new gerbil up his butt.

I use the NWS forecast nearly nearly exclusively. It's where everyone gets their original data to start I guess anyway. Looking like about 7-10 inches in NE KY.
