Looks like Cal preferred Lively and Bona for their defensive prowess. Watching them all play I don’t blame him. Bona is still my favorite Big man but would love to have Yohan.
Collins is gonzo if he keeps improving. I don’t see someone not taking a chance on Oscar if he finishes the season as a 15 and 15 guy. Ware hasn't improved much and I really think he could transfer. Whether he does or not, take Traore and another big from the transfer portal. According to the Sources Say podcast UK is keeping their eye on a particular big that could enter the portal after the season. No idea who that could be unless possibly N'faly Dante but who knows.
Damnit Cal offer this kid ASAP! Top 5 recruit should be a no brainer. Wonder what Cal is waiting on.

With all these NIL deals we may see more staying that normally leaves too early. Its going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
It is hilarious how many people in this very thread apparently know more about recruiting and obviously the intricate details of this recruit better than Cal. Bunch of HOF'ers apparently missed their calling and are stuck posting on a message board instead.
Seriously though, it's baffling to read so many people acting like Cal is some sort of idiot. Has anyone seen the class we have coming in? These are the same people who thought the world was ending when Bona went to UCLA. Now, the world is ending again before we even get out of Fall.

I agree I don't think he'll go in the lottery. Possibly late 1st early 2nd round. I wish he would stay around another year but somehow they usually don't. He would be great as a sophomore.

I am a big critic of Cal, BUT he seems to have a knack of knowing which guys to offer and which ones not too. Most of the time if he doesn’t offer a guy there is a good reason he didn’t. To his credit the guys he offers that come here are good citizens and stay out of controversies. Compare that to Tubby’s tenure, always some guy doing something he shouldn’t.Lots of questionable guys to the point we had a brawl on the team plane forcing the pilot to land, in Knoxville( a couple of my UT buddies still raz me about that one). I WILL trust in Cal on this issue.

When Cal watched him Saturday he had a 20-point game. On Sunday when he played against Bona, he was inconsequential, and I'm being nice. I watched the stream and assume the UK staff did as well. I can see why they want to see more.

I don't see why Cal doesn't offer.It's likely Oscar and Collins are gone after this season so we are going to need several bigs.Get this guy and a transfer big.
Not sure why this post is being directed toward me. Although, I think Cal should probably offer this kid. We have exactly zero signed big men for next season. Furthermore, there aren’t ANY elite big men left in this class other than this said recruit. If we don’t get him, we will be relying on a reclassification, transfer and/or some guys to return.
