It doesn't matter how good of a defender you are, if the offensive player is good enough he will beat you on the dribble when the opportunity presents itself.

I don't think we watched the same game. Love Tyler but Yogi blew his doors off all night.

This is so odd. Even my Indiana friends admitted that Ulis was the best player on the court that night. That he was much quicker and better than Yogi.
I'm as critical of a player as anyone, but Ulis is light years ahead of Yogi. Ulis was even dealing with a difficult and well developed defense. Yogi had zero to worry about if Lee wasn't on the court.
Are you high?

I never said Ulis was less of a player...he is above Yogi by far this year. In that game though Yogi left Ulis sitting on more than a couple of plays. Tyler scored 27 because he had to put up a lot of shots and no one else gave him any help. The results showed that him scoring 27 wasn't the best way to play the game. Yogi ran his team better than Tyler in that one game...not the entire year.

Better check the stats out a little more closely 27-18 Tyler over Yogi in points, Yogi 4 assists to 3, Tyler 2-0 in steals so blowing doors off didn't happen.
WTF are you talking about? Did I say Yogis stats blew Tyler's stats doors off? No. I said the were more than a few plays where Yogi personally left Tyler sitting to contradict the poster who said Tyler ran circles around Yogi which just was not true for that game.

I love Tyler but facts are that he took 7 more shots than Yogi so the 27-18 doesn't hold much weight because Tyler had to put the team on his back and Yogi was able to depend on others. Tyler had 0 rebounds and Yogi had 5. Assists Yogi 4 and Tyler 3. Turnovers Yogi 1 and Tyler 4.

Tyler is the overall better point guard, but that game he did not run circles around Yogi and for more than a few plays Yogi literally left Tyler sitting still. I call BS even when it's from our blue tinted Kentucky fans point of view.

Is it not possible that they both played really well that night? Ulis kept UK in the game, and made the final 30 seconds interesting. IU won, and without Yogi would not have; period.

Hell, without either, the team they were on would not have been competitive.

As for awards... I am an IU fan, but I will admit that Ulis had a slightly better year, and deserves the accolades he is getting. He is better than I ever thought he would be. He is probably my favorite UK player (from an outsider's perspective) certainly my favorite in the Cal-era.

But Yogi also had a hell of a four year career, and hopefully will be remembered as the kid that made it cool for in-state MCDAA to come back to IU, and return my school to (if not the top) close to the current top six (four of whom apparently have "most hated campuses" status on this site so I won't name them - Michigan State seems to be OK to mention, the others not so much).

False. Yogi definitely beat him on a couple of plays, which actually shocked me. But Yogi didnt run his team better in that game. Not by any stretch. IU just won the game.

He only started beating him once Ulis picked up a bogus 2nd foul... awful take UPS.

Ulis destroyed Yogi, just didn't get any help whatsoever.

WTF are you talking about? You didn't mention a few plays, or more than a few plays, you actually said "Love Tyler but Yogi blew his doors off all night" all is more than a few I believe, I guess I could be wrong. Both played good games but I wouldn't say either dramatically outdid the other other than the fact that Tyler carried his team while Yogi was a major component of a team win.

Most of our fans criticized the Ulis Photoshop. I'll wait for you to do the same with this. Not even sure Doc Libby knew it was fake when she posted it.,

[laughing] Well you sure in the heck aren't doing her any favors. If that's the case, then not only is she classless for even posting it in the first place; on top of that, she is a clueless moron for not knowing it was photoshopped.

How could she not? The jersey was a different color, blue instead of white, or did she not watch the game being too busy posing for the cameras with her signs. The arena is obviously Auburn University not in Iowa. Again, must not have been paying attention. Ignorance is no excuse. Also, please hold your breath while you wait for BBN to do the same.
